Good for retirees maybe? High fees, embarrassingly bad tech that contributes to application of high fees. Should you suffer a job loss or any other shift toward lesser financial stability, get your funds out of this institution ASAP or you will absolutely regret trying to "keep it local", my god.

This is the absolute worst one out of all of them. Dfcu "Main" . Tried to get help on a Saturday and the woman hands me the 1800 number. I absolutely hate coming here but it is the closest location to me. This location should be open later on Saturdays and they don't let you use a bathroom. I saw elderly and young kids pee themselves because of the barbaric treatment they have to endure. You have to drive to the mall to use the bathroom. I have to find a better bank than this because my card doesn't even recognize the pin. Have to go inside to pull the money. Also all their cards look the same so hard to tell apart if I have multiple accounts. Same blue and gray cards for years now.

The service was excellent at the Midtown branch (Wayne State U ). Only complaint is that this is the closest branch to Grosse Pointe, MI. It's about a 20 minute drive. There should be a branch in the Grosse Pointe/St Clair Shores/Roseville area.

5⭐️s plus…DFCU has a warm welcoming atmosphere. I’ve had wonderful experiences with all of the employees. I’m greeted with an enthusiastic smile and the service rendered is always pleasant.

This "credit union" continues to get worse and worse. Credit unions are supposed to be better than banks, and I have yet to use a bank that's worse than DFCU. Higher fees than most banks, less technology than any other bank I've come across, more problems, and terrible customer service. This is basically a bad bank masquerading as a good credit union.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
