We applied for an auto loan with Credit Union One a few days ago. I am coming out of a messy divorce with terrible credit and my mother was co-signing. We both have the income. I called the next morning when I knew they’d be open-to speak with someone about any additional information they may have needed. We spoke with a woman who was less than pleasant while verifying some details. She told us we would be getting a call before 5PM (which appears to be their closing time). Waited until 4:50PM and never received a call. I ended up calling the branch and spoke with someone I believe named “Lamprini” the name of who the previous rep actually advised would call us back. They advised an email was sent but it “bounced back” suggesting it may have been entered wrong on the application. When they read it back to me it was off by one letter. We were denied because of credit. It would have been nice to at least have received a phone call. That’s poor customer service and I noticed they don’t respond to the negative reviews on their website/google reviews. Reputable banking companies and establishments normally would address concerns directly. Instead the reply to the positive only. My dad who is deceased banked with this credit union for 26 years before he passed. We thought of them as he had a great experience before he left them for Comerica Bank. Due to the lack of care and customer support acknowledgment I wouldn’t recommend anyone to bank or request credit here. I am pleased to say we were approved by LOC credit union for a great rate for an auto loan and my mother was able to open up an account and place her retirement funds in high yielding account. Best of luck to those who choose CUone..

I've been a member for over 30 yrs & have visited several branches. I complained to u when service was poor or inappropriate but today was different. My debit card was declined @ my doc's office, I was on crutches w/a broken foot & ankle AND it was snowing.....again. They wouldn't let my husband fix this problem on the fone. So -I was not a happy camper when I met Taylor D (maybe Dyer or Dwyer) working in the front lobby(. Since she looked about 1/3 my age, I REALLY wasn't my usual friendly self😩🤪 Taylor ignored my mood & happily helped me. She explained that my money was truly safe & in my accts. I actually left the bank w/a brand new working debit card. Pls Thx Miss Taylor for being nice to a grumpy old lady today & taking care of my problem w/such grace despite my mood. You really did make it better for me & put me in a better mood. CU1- Taylor is an awesome employee & a credit to ur company, Tell her so. PS--FYI- My card was declined only cuz I hadn't used it in over 6mos. For its own safety, it cancelled itself. She said to even go thru drive thru & check my balance to keep my card active to avoid this next time. My account had been accessed a billion times in the last year😜but never using MY debit card. LOL!! Taylor explained everything clearly & in a way I understood !

Staff is very helpful and friendly. I have been going to the Ferndale Credit union one since I was 17, Ive had great customer service at all the branches, mostly I’ve used Ferndale because I lived in the neighborhood with my parents. I recommend Credit UnionOne to all my friends and family. So glad to have found Credit Union one no longer use banks because they charge fees for everything.

It was my first time coming here the moment I came up to the front desk the white lady with a Karen haircut had an attitude. I asked her a question and she told me go to another bank because it was a “long wait” I asked her to specify how long she wouldn’t give an answer , I went and put my name on the listed and only waited 15 minutes to be called. Idk what it is about this location but all I seen was laziness from your workers. DEFINITELY something that needs to be worked on, working in the field of customer service you need to have a good attitude, your employees need to do better.
