I was in the main branch doing some banking, inquired about a small loan for a recreational vehicle. This was my first time applying for a loan with this institution. They explained everything to me and did exactly what they said and in a very timely fashion. Thank you all, that's the way to do business.

Do NOT bank with this credit union! They mislead the elderly, blatantly lie, and mistreat people with disabilities. My father, who has been a member with them for 20+ years, passed away at the age of 75, not knowing his loan insurance with this bank ended AT 75. No notice of insurance termination or anything. One month after his death, the bank threatened to repossess his truck from my mother. When my mom and brother went to sort things out, they kicked my brother out of the building because his hearing disability was "threatening" to them (he talks a little louder than most because he has trouble hearing). After my mother called the regional manager, they were told that the truck will not be repossessed as long as it isn't transferred to another name (this is all recorded on my brother's phone). A couple weeks later, they snuck over while everyone was sleeping and repossessed it. They then originally LIED about having it in their possession, saying they didn't have it. My brother then filed a BBB report against them, in which they rebutted, saying he was cussing people out in his phone call with them (again, he was not cussing anyone out, just being a little loud because he has a hearing disability). All of the conversations are recorded on his phone. These people are very scummy and will happily screw you over, no matter how long you've been banking with them.

10/10 experience. Lee helped me out and was able to answer all my questions. Had a nice chat while we were waiting on some confirmations from another team and overall had a super pleasant and smooth experience. Thanks!

Auto loan process was quick and painless. I was able to get approved, sign forms on line and pick up a check within just a few hours. Erika and Rachel in the Adrian office are superstars!

Cindy has been amazing helping me. She is always very nice with a friendly smile. I've also had great experiences with Larissa (she's the best) but also Dylan, Daniel, Michaela, Skye and Larkin is always inviting when I come in to the branch. American 1 is definitely 5 stars in my opinion. Thank you all for the great service.
