I bought a used car and the lien had to be paid off by the owner and a clean title to be issued all done by the loan officer. They sent it to the wrong recipient so it took much longer to arrive. I was also misinformed about going to the SOS office next day to get it registered. Although the loan officer apologized and fixed the mistake, it was very difficult to reach her and ask for updates. I called the bank, called her office number, left emails and never heard back. I felt like they just dismissed their mistake, ignored me, and let me deal with the frustration that came with it. If they were more transparent about the situation or at least gave me details/updates it would be forgiven. Unfortunately that was not the case especially since it was a time sensitive matter! I felt like they didn't care!

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. I recently was alerted to a possible fraudulent charge on my debit card. They took care of the issue immediately. They contacted me, it was fraudulent, did not let the transaction go through, cancelled my card, and I received a new one in (less than:) 7-10 business days. Veronica was especially helpful. I have been a customer for years and would highly recommend Michigan Coastal Credit Union. A***

I have banked here since I was 16 and I’m now 30. I have never had so many problems with this place then what I’ve had in the last year and a half. I have pulled all of my funds out of here and moved to Huntington down the road where I’ve had NO PROBLEMS AND THEY HAVE A WORKING ATM THAT I CAN DEPOSIT CASH INTO ALONG WITH A 24 hour grace period if I happen to overdraft. When my loans are paid off, I’m pretty sure I’ll be done with them.

Great service! They go above and beyond whenever you need them to. They help you build credit and take the time to teach you how their products and services work. Highly recommend them for both first time account holders to long time account holders.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
