I am incredibly disappointed with how PFCU handled my recent auto loan. I was involved in an accident where I was completely not at fault, yet the administration of my loan in the aftermath was incredibly sloppy. Because of their slipshod approach and mishandling of the situation, my credit score wrongfully took a 200-point hit. What makes this especially frustrating is my track record with this institution. I was a loyal, reliable customer who had already successfully paid off both a previous auto loan and a personal loan with them. Instead of working with me, their disorganized administration caused massive, unnecessary damage to my credit. It is glaringly obvious that they do not value their customers or their loyalty. If you want a credit union that actually has your back when the unexpected happens, look elsewhere.

I only have an auto loan with the credit union. All the people I worked with could answer my questions and were polite. The problem was paying off my loan. First they sent me to a shared branch because I don’t live near the credit union. The branch said they don’t take payments. Then I tried paying it off by phone and the limit was only $1500 and refused my payment. Lastly I tried paying over the phone with a real person and they also could not take my payment. I mean really you don’t want the money???? It is going to cost about $50 more to make multiple payments through bill pay to pay off a vehicle in 2026??? Wild

Fails to keep pace with other banks/credit unions the rates are horrible Michigan 1 is offering much better rates 2.5% for a money market. Staff fails to keep members with in the bank instead would rather watch the money walk out the door and go down the street. Why would anyone keep money here it's literally costing you money. you will make more money by switching to nearly any other bank in Ionia and save on interest through for loans. I'm confused how it's a member owned union when the members are not seeing and perk or kick back there no benefit to being apart of Portland federal credit union I'm guessing the board is making all the money and keeping it for themselves

I was unable to transfer $14,440 from my savings account to my checking account to pay a bill by check. It just said “you have exceed your amount”. After several online attempts, I was able to get a ride into the credit union (I’m unable to drive anymore). The teller explained that you have a limit of $10,000 that can be transferred from accounts on online a statement would be helpful.

The loan rep Tonya refuses to call my ex daughter in law on her missed car payments. And Tonya knows there is court documents where my husband's name is to be taken off the loan, but refuses to get it done. I'm so over this lady not doing her job! So, now I am being told that my ex dil recently refinanced her car some how with my husband's name still on the loan, if it's actually true. How does a credit union allow this to happen? Tonya won't answer my husband's email. He can't hear on the phone so he emails her. We all know how court proceeding and loans work. But isn't best to contact the person listed on the loan 1st? That's the way most banks work. They don't call the co signer first.
