Jolt has overall been a good place to bank. Have been with them for many years, along with my family. I don’t think doing away with deposit slips was a good choice. I bank through the drive thru and since the change I have encountered numerous errors. I even write out my requests on paper. I don’t appreciate my personal information being given over the intercom for others to hear. I also have had negative experiences with the mobile deposit. Waiting several days for my local payroll check to be deposited is unacceptable. I deposit it every week. I believe when I put it through the Jolt ATM they held it for 10 days. The staff has always been good and personable. I think it is the credit union policies that have caused the issues.

Almost nothing about refinancing here is easy. They make everything incredibly challenging and lengthy. Has taken multiple weeks, and they're still not listed as lien holder on vehicle. They are unable to process incoming money electronically to their credit union. You will be required to walk a payment in, or experience the delay of a few days while the electronic transfer happens. Every other lending institution is immediate. Depositing cash in an ATM isn't immediate either. This credit union is stuck in 1995. The incredibly young and immature tellers will drone on and on about high school art projects and teachers. Definitely not a place you will feel comfortable sending thousands of dollars. Read the negative reviews here, if you feel like you can chance it, go ahead. I know of a widow who was told their deceased partner would have to sign paperwork to close the account, another person who was sent to collections because they scanned a copy of a title into the wrong member's account, 3 separate times, and someone else who has had Jolt hold multiple reoccurring deposits due to "suspicious activity." Ask around, it doesn't take long for you to find someone deeply unhappy with them. I'll be filing complaints with the BBB, CFPB, and NCUA. Hopefully that resolves it.

I have an account here and so do my (2) daughters. My 19 year old daughter has had her account here for (5) years now. She has been at her job for (3.5) years now. She also has one of their $1,000 loans that gets paid monthly without fail. AND her credit score is a 703 (True FICO). She found a vehicle she wanted to purchase from a dealership in Bay City. She came to me to help her with the purchase (I buy 1-2 vehicles a year for work). I told her that credit unions are great, and I would assume Jolt would give her a loan. The car was newer, the LTV would be about 90% after her 15% down ($5,000). She had recently gotten a promotion at her job (2 months prior to this purchase), and received a substantial raise. She applied for the FIRST TIME BUYER NO COSIGNER car loan. They DENIED her for lack of income. Yet, when I attempted to tell them she has been at her job for 3.5 years, if you look at her last (4) pay stubs you can see the sharp increase in income. They simply did not care. She went to Members First who gave her a loan on the vehicle at 7% with $4,000 down. Her very first car that she bought on her own with no cosigner. At first Members First was not going to approve her because of the income. When I explained to them about her promotion and pay raise and pointed it out, they approved her on the spot. Her fiancé then went to see about getting an auto loan, and he has never had a loan at all. Members First approved him for a vehicle loan at 7% for a newer vehicle. They both have since moved all of their business to Members First and I imagine will be members for a long time.

Been a member for nearly 20 years and am closing all my accounts in the coming weeks. Never had such a headache as I am having simply getting a functional debit card. Waited 3 weeks (7-10 business days) for a card that the chip does not work. Now rather than putting a rush on a functional card, or god forbid, having the technology to issue at the branch, I have to wait another 7-10 business days. So 2 more weeks. In the mean time their solution is to withdraw cash. Except I attempted to use at an ATM and it said the card wasn't any good. Every store makes me use the chip 3x and then swipe. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. Was told conflicting information at least 3 times regarding their discontinuance of in office card printing. One told me it stopped, another told me to go in to any branch but state street, and another said no branches had it, etc, etc. At this rate I am so completely fed up its unreal. All they simply had to do was say "We apologize for the card giving you issues, we will rush a new replacement card to you at no additional cost." Rather, I am getting "i understand its frustrating, try something else." So I am. As soon as I have a day off to go to another branch I am writing Jolt off. I left briefly when their online deposit started holding my paycheck hostage for 3 days til it cleared. It used to be 2-4 hours and it would be reviewed and in my account. Now I have to call them to release my payroll or wait the 3 days. So now I drive clear to the branch to deposit it so the funds are available. I don't know how a bank is going backwards so hard, but its a shame to see. I really enjoyed Catholic Federal and it sucks to see what its turned into. But hey, at least they "support their community" by sponsoring lots and lots of stuff. But can't or won't swing rush shipping a debit card that was to replace THEIR faulty card I waited 3 weeks for.

Where to even start with these guys. ( Filling a civil lawsuit against jolt ) Back in May I traded in a vehicle to get my new Subaru forester and at the time this was the first time I’d ever done this and was trying to build my credit score up. I’ve now been with them 8 months and I’m so fed up with their service. My money hasn’t been going towards my loan my loan has not dropped what so ever almost like the money I’m paying monthly isn’t going towards it. Not to mention I was drowning in my insurance through a third party so I talked to the bank about it and they said they would set me up with one of there personal insurance lenders and said they could lower my insurance. Well I went along with it and canceled my insurance that day and sent them three months invance for the new insurance. Now three months down the road I’m involved in an accident totaling my car bc a lady ran the red light and as I’m standing next to the officer trying to get them to send over my proof of insurance they hang up on me three times in a row. They then the fourth time after the officer states who he is say they will not talk to him and proceed to tell me I haven’t had insurance on my veichle for three months and state that the insurance was really a ( insurance policy for the loan ) Now I’m left here with a totaled vehicle in pain and supposedly have been driving around for three months unaware I had no insurance. I am now filling a civil law suit against jolt credit union through Morgan and Morgan law firm. They hang up on there customers they don’t respond to emails or calls and on top of that involved me in insurance fraud.
