I want to give a huge thank-you to John at Building Trades Credit Union for his outstanding help and professionalism. I was dealing with a stressful situation involving an unexpected withdrawal from my account, and John went above and beyond to figure out exactly what happened. He took the time to listen, investigate the issue right away, and made sure the money was returned quickly. It’s rare to find someone who truly cares about their members the way John does. He turned a really stressful situation into a positive experience, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Tried to mobile deposit a check, it got rejected so I called to clarify. The lady on the phone was condescending and rude. Among many other things, she kept arguing with me saying she called and left a voicemail explaining the situation. I told her I never received said call and she continued to argue with me about how she did. So she left my information on someone else's voicemail? Do better building trades. You cannot pride yourselves on being "trusted advocates and member focused" and then speak to them this way.

An institution charged my card 25$ and BTCU charged me overdraft fees 4 times and let it go negative. My card doesn't allow me to make purchases past a zero balance. Chime cash app have overfraft protection but the credit union doesnt.I know there is great people at these banks but after being lied to and all the fees it's isn't worth it. They immediately want you to pay the fees like the money is coming out of their check if you don't. It's a culture at these banks. My personal checking account overdrafts its protected from fees. Same with chime, Venmo, etc. not BTCU
