It would be great if I could access my account online. I’ve needed to transfer money all day today so I don’t get charged the stupid fee to auto transfer funds. All day today - not able to get on. This is a regular occurrence and got a billion dollar credit union, you’d think you would have reliable internet banking. Don’t bother replying with your templated reply because I’m not calling you to wait on hold. I can’t get into a branch unless I take off work which is not worth it. I can not wait until I can get everything transferred out.

I would give them negative stars if it were possible. The merger between Great River and Credit Union 1 has been a complete nightmare to navigate, and for three weeks I've been promised that they will look into my issues and call me back. As of today, I have received ZERO calls from this company. I'd advise anyone thinking of doing business with Credit Union 1 to go somewhere else. It's clear that this bank does not care about It's customers.

I am not "wowed" by CU1 taking over Great River. I used to get a live person at a branch here in Saint Cloud when I needed help. Now you get put on hold and pushed to IL or NV. Also, I'm not happy that when I wanted to discuss home loans, instead of speaking with someone here in Saint Cloud (or MN) I have to go through Illinois! I moved away from there. I had Great River for 4 years and had wonderful interactions. Now..it's like every other big company that buys out a smaller one. :(

I refinanced my car through Great River Federal Credit (former name) during summer of 2025. My specialist was AUBREY KRUEGER. It was a smooth process and I even set up AUTOPAY (signed through EDOCS by both parties). On October 19, I received a letter from the mail through their new company (Credit Union 1) that I am late by 15 days. I tried to contact her via email and text but no response as of now. If this issue is not resolved, I will escalate this to my LAWYER. Edit as of 12/25: Issue has been resolved and had a different team member who resolved my issue. Amber Mathiasen helped me solved my problem and set upy autopay. Payment has been received and my late payment was not reported to the credit bureaus. I also plan on paying off the loan completely next year if everything goes accordingly. Shout-out to Amber for her great customer service experience.

This merger has been the worst!! I have a GRFCU credit card and now have to pay it thru this EZ Card link. Paid one time and now locked out. I tried logging on and says too many attempts have to call. I called the # and they say that the fraud dept locked my card so that makes the payment link locked. . So I called the fraud line and they said that my email must not be current so I have to call the bank to get my new one all updated. I now called bank 4 times They said everything is updated and unlocked. I go on tonight and it’s still locked. The lady says, ok we put stop on card (because now I lost the damn thing taking it out so much) and you will get new one in 7-10 days. I said, how is getting a new card going to get me in my account to pay it? All I want is to pay the card! It’s late now and no one seems to care but me and I’m having anxiety ! Why can’t they unlock my account t so I can pay it! I don’t think if the card was stolen that they will call and fake to be me and pay it.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
