After having done business here for almost 30 years, regretfully I must post my terrible experience here. After receiving a letter regarding a loan and calling to make arrangements that were verbally approved, I proceeded to come in the next day and make a payment that had been agreed on. Shortly after this, my employer calls to say that I am being garnished for the remainder of the loan, even though I had made a payment in good faith and had arrangements to willingly pay this the following month. I called this Credit Union and explained the situation, and was told that they were going to follow through with the garnishment even though we had made arrangements. Flatly, I was lied to, deceived, and embarrassed in front of my employer for no good reason. Then they had the nerve to call me a week later and ask when I was going to bring in my next payment. I explained the situation to whoever called me, and they transferred me to a voicemail for the loan department, which seems to be where they dump people who call about things they want to avoid discussing, since this also occurred almost every time I called to discuss the garnishment or loan. Needless to say, as soon as this was settled completely I closed my account of almost 3 decades and took all of my money from this greedy place. Their motto, "People helping people", doesn't seem to always fit their behavior. Before this, I have always been pleased with the service here, but this was ridiculous. When I came in and asked to close my account and take all my funds, the teller did not even inquire as to the reason that they were losing my business. I recommend being very careful doing business here, and frankly, they seem unwilling to reason with anyone who is obviously struggling. STAY AWAY.
