Vantage Credit Union is a co-op bank for Navy Federal, I would rate them 0 stars if I could! This bank literally puts a 5 day business hold on cash deposits at their atm. The rep tells me that it is Navy federal who puts the hold on the deposit not them however when I called Navy Federal again they told me that the Vantage CU had a 5 day hold on funds and it was nothing they could do to get the hold released. Which was crazy because the Vantage rep said I could have Navy Federal send an email with the date, time of transaction, machine used, card used, and they would release the money, but they are not responsible for the holds. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. So neither bank has nothing to do with the hold? Yet there is the 5 day hold no one can go in and release! The fact that a hold is put on a cash deposit for 5 days is INSANE. I will NEVER bank or use this VCU bank again for anything. If they didn't want to be a co-op branch bank then just opt out, not penalize the members by holding their money hostage refusing to post what you already know you have in your atm and lying about putting the funds on hold.

I love Vantage but when they moved across the street there is ZERO privacy. I had appointment, but he was with someone so I was helped at the front desk, ( very nice )but they ask you your account # , your passcode the amount and all personal information , in front of everyone . Not only me but everyone that came in and went to one of those little open “rooms” with the virtual teller. We could hear EVERYTHING. Stuff that is none of our business. I know it’s not the employee’s fault . We are all 9-5 employees but vantage , you did NOT think this one through.

Andre is the best at what he does. I came in asking for an auto loan. Long story short I didn’t get approve for it however, Andre went out his way to seek for other options. Not only Andre found another option, he got me approved for more than I ask for. If I could give him 10 stars I would. I highly recommend him!

Andre Gray at the St. Peter’s location was great. Had a situation come up and after a few changes, phone calls and a couple emails, Andre was able to handle the situation in a timely manner. Vantage has been good to me, glad to be banking with them.

Id give Vantage a 0 if it was a choice. Cost my 96 year old mother >4K in fradulent debit card charges. She didnt even activate it. Told us we didnt report soon enough. Happened 3x with 3 new debit card numbers. Impossible to set up Walmart or Paypal links. Dark ages technology. Wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
