The worst customer service experience you will ever have. They locked my card Friday morning for a fraud alert. If you bank with AGCU you will get used to your debit cards not working on the weekends which is frustrating. The customer service is so poor past Friday at 12 they are unreachable and useless if you can get ahold of anyone. They will cancel subscription at random your debit card works when they feel like it not when you need it. Almost every customer service representative from this company has lied to me they will tell you cards are reactivated but they won’t. It’s an uphill battle at this bank to even cash a check. Due to lack of care for the customer experience you will be very lucky to find an atm that works for AGCU and good luck using the AGCU branded atms they are usually not working or can’t dispense more then $40 in $20bills. This whole establishment was probably pretty reliable back in the day but the company has stayed in the past and can’t seem to bring the company into the current century. It’s 2025 and they still do not offer cards with tap to pay. The customer service staff will lie to you frequently about systems being down or fixing the issue you have asked them to it feels like this company wants them to answer a set amount of phone calls not service their customers. 2 help staff have lied to me today telling my they reactivated it when they did not. DONT WORRY THE BANK CAN STILL CHARGE $25 to my debit card to send me a new one but won’t let me use it anywhere else. What an absolute JOKE when it comes to customer service. I’m very disappointed as this bank used to be very helpful now they lie to you to get you off the phone. I would have enjoyed banking here if they made you feel like a customer and not some rabid animal that’s been left unattended in the store.

We have been with AGCU for about 4 years now and have been taken care of at every step. 10 out of 10 we will always be customers.

I highly recommend working with Phil B. at AGCU. He was prompt and responsive to wrap up my auto loan start to finish in a matter of hours making it seamless for me as I was in the middle of my workday. His customer service is paramount!

DO NOT use this company for a loan. They are unforgiving and relentless in collecting. They DO NOT care about your life situation and they refuse to work with you. Worst experience I have ever had and even my friends and family members cannot believe the way they treated me from their experiences with other lenders.

I’ve been banking with AGCU for 11 years and I’m becoming more and more disappointed with their service. They charge way too much in “return” fees. I couldn’t deposit my check from work today because “I have reached my limit for deposits”. Are you serious? You put a cap on how much money people can have deposited in a single day or collectively in a month? Then when I call the bank to ask why my deposit was rejected, I’m then told I have almost reached my “outside” deposit limit and there was no one in the facility that could approve my limit be lifted to a higher amount and there is no manager on site. The best they could do is have someone call me back in 3 days to discuss the issue and maybe adjust my amount. Bad customer service and bad business.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
