I have been a member for over a year now and Summer has made my membership very beneficial and worth changing from another credit union. She has been very helpful on the phone and in person at the Grand branch. I have referred Educational Community Credit Union because of her phenomenal customer service. I will continue to bank at this branch!

I’ve been an educator my entire life, have had loans and a checking and savings account. Have a few people that have been working with me several years, but the manager now is absolutely horrible. I appreciate Joel and Lori, however am extremely disappointed, upset, and having additional health problems due to Mr. Lumley. I was faithful, but went on medical leave, in the process of seeking disability, and facing financial hardship. All he has done has escalated the issues ever since I started communicating with him. They basically were fine when I was teaching and paying off loans and using their services, but he has NO empathy, compassion, or respect for a teacher that has dedicated her entire life helping our community. He has given me a hard time about accounts while waiting for Snap and Supplemental, talked down to me and said, “Just because I didn’t get my way” when asking them to reopen an account that shouldn’t have got closed in the first place, since I explained to them why it went in the negative and was currently waiting on financial income. I was overcharged by Amazon. They fixed all the fees, he put me through hell just recover a partial amount. Then they closed both of my accounts, said they would “consider” opening my savings if I had money to put into it. I said I have no money except what would need to be wired in for a medical emergency. They wouldn’t be able to open it back otherwise. Another setback and traumatic experience, over something as little as $85.00. I’m in tears, have been treated awful before, but was truly talked to like I was nothing put me down over my disability and going through a major crisis. I was respectful, kind, and have dealt with several people there for years, but that type of treatment, I said that I respect him as an authority figure, but am praying for his employees. He escalated the issue to where not only do I need my service animal I need medication, and it could’ve been a heart attack or worse. He doesn’t need to be in his position with such a lack of leadership abilities. The damage is done, the words were said. He cut me off, time and time again, and is a bad representation for educators. I pray no one treats or talks down to his family, but in this case after multiple attempts at getting resolution all I was left with is more grief and hardship over a simple transaction that couldn’t been taken care of if he was willing. He wasn’t and it needs reported. There is NO excuse for disrespecting someone that is going through tragedy! Whether the accounts got opened back up or not putting myself or my service animal through any more pain, is disgraceful. I would stay clear if you have a dying family member! He did nothing to save me and I’m certain the family member would be dead! Not to mention my service animal.

UPDATE: I finally got help with the issue i had logging on to the website. And, after speaking to someone at the credit union, another issue was resolved. A male teller has consistently made mistakes with my deposits and transactions. He incorrectly made payments to an account that has automatic billing/payments set up so i had to call the next day and have someone correct his mistakes. I also had concerns that he simply isn't paying attention to customers, isn't friendly and acts like he's being bothered. They also addressed that. I am still disappointed there isn't a financial planner at the credit union but maybe they'll bring someone on board. Overall, pleased with the credit union's response to my recent concerns. (End of edit/update). I haven't been able to log on to my account since they upgraded their system. Even after calling and getting assistance from someone at the credit union, i still cannot access my account online. I've had good and bad experiences at the credit union but my biggest disappointment is they claim to not have a financial advisor. When i sold my home I had to go elsewhere for advice and investments.

I love Eccu! Every time I go the girls always make me feel welcome. It’s nice knowing people are still kind in this world. Very knowledgeable about loans and no funny business.

I've never had such a difficult time paying my car loan. The online banking is horrible, and if you want to pay over the phone with a debit card they charge you a $7.00 fee. I've always paid my loan on time, but since their new banking upgrade I can't even access my account in order to do so. They're closed on weekends, not even a half day on Saturday. I wish I'd stayed with my old credit union.
