After more than 20 years of banking here, I recently made the difficult decision to move on. Unfortunately, the customer service became increasingly impersonal and unfriendly, and I often left feeling like I wasn’t valued as an individual. A specific situation that stands out involved a $13.13 monthly insurance payment that had been successfully deducted from my account for over eight months. One day, I was contacted by a bank manager and told the charge might be fraudulent. I reassured them that it was legitimate, but instead of being supported, I was told I would need to leave work to complete paperwork or the charge would be denied. $13.13 may not sound like a large amount, but when a policy is cancelled due to non-payment, it can have consequences. This caused unnecessary stress and made me feel there wasn’t flexibility or understanding on the bank’s part. In addition, the credit union has not kept pace with technology. The lack of an app and other modern banking conveniences—features many institutions now provide—made managing my finances more difficult than it needed to be. I share this feedback in the hope it encourages improvements in customer service and technology for current and future members.

What a joke, Go to starbucks to get a coffee and get declined even though there's over 1k in checking. Told "insufficient funds"... Try going to an atm thinking it's Starbucks cause the online system (which was down AGAIN all morning) says that there's at least 1k in checking. Declined "insufficient funds"...... Ok weird right???? Call fraud (cause it's Sunday and no one's available) told "it's not a card problem so thanks for calling buh bye"..... This banks a joke, always down, no one to fix the issues ever, system down all the time, ALWAYS putting me and my family in a tight spot cause they can't make my own funds accessible. We will be taking our business somewhere else ASAP. And me and my family will spread the undeniable word that banking at Butte Community will end up being the worst experience you could possibly have in the banking world. DONT BANK HERE!!! Youve been warned. And of course it's Sunday.... So I get to sit with no money till tomorrow...... Thanks Butte Community 10/10 don't recommend. It'd be different if this was the first issue.... But believe you me., not even close. Always on the weekend when no one's available and always something big. More times than I can count.

I went into Butte Community Federal Credit Union to open a new account. Not only were they rude, they didn't know anything about Health Savings Accounts. I did not feel welcomed or like they were interested in doing business with me. After waiting an extensive period of time to talk to someone (while witnessing very poor customer service to others in the meantime), the person I met with was rude and unaccommodating. I let them know that I was more than happy to take my business elsewhere and went to Mountain West Federal Credit Union. I was greeted with a friendly smile and people that are well orientated with good customer service.

Their app stopped letting me log in so the only way to check my balance is was to call. I had both my password and my username reset and when it still did not let me log in I was told they did not know what was going on and that was all they could do. They never resolved the issue.
