Whitefish Credit Union is by far the best bank that I have experienced. Professional and friendly staff in all of my banking experiences at the one in Whitefish Montana.

The service we have received from Whitefish Credit Union has been top notch every step of the way. We recently financed our home through them & Kyle Elliott made the process much easier than we anticipated. They have a small town warm vibe, yet are professional & all business when it’s time to close. I would recommend Whitefish Credit Union to anyone who is looking for no nonsense banking.

Sorry Whitefish Branch for the following scathing review but the lack of any accommodating response, especially from the Branch manager, prompts this honest and accurate review. The first red flag, in retrospect, was the associate handling our transaction and her physical posture and demeanor: she yawned a dozen times and had her elbows on her desk whilst holding up her head with her hands, as a first grade student does when tired at school. This highly trained associate proceeded to process a wire transfer using an ACH transfer routing number, assuring us between yawns that she had the transfer completed and the money would be available in a day. It wasn't until the next day that the wiring manager at the central offices called to tell me that it could not go thru because the aforementioned associate did not know the difference between a Wire transfer and an ACH transfer. She then directed me to the Branch Manager in WF who was handling the mess created. Astounding that a person with this competence level is given responsibilities of transferring large sums of $ and is clueless to the basics and speaks to her training. This required both parties to revisit and recontact the bank to do the whole process over. As for the Branch manager, I left her 2 voicemail messages on those 2 days and never did she feel the compulsion to return the calls. I had to drive from Bigfork to Whitefish to pick up the check that I did not know would be available due to her failing to return my calls. To put an exclamation point on all of this mismanagement, when I did get the check handed to me it was made out to the Wrong Person! Never mind that I had given my DL and a blank check with my name clearly shown on both. Little miss Branch Manager was in her windowed office when I arrived, chatting with 3 other associates about non-work related subjects and had to re-issue the check whilst I waited. This would have been an opportune time for Miss Branch Manager to come out and reach out to a wronged customer with some sort of apologetic or conciliatory interaction. She never budged nor did she even acknowledge me at the tellers window or as the person who left the voice mails. Hence this review

Do not care for Whitefish credit union. You hear all the great benefits of a credit union, don't believe any of it. I get far better customer service and benefits from Wells Fargo. I closed all my accounts with Whitefish credit union. Had enough of them.
