I just moved here. And I think I understand where a lot of the negative reviews come from for this establishment. I think it trickles from the woman who seems to be the manager. I don’t know her exact position but clearly was the highest in hierarchy here. I sat with her first, and after a weird convo with her complete lack of selling skills on simply having an account I left unsatisfied on having a local bank to deal with. A couple days later I went back in to open an account anyway because it was advantageous in just one respect for my situation, and though the other employees seemed nice, that same manager jerked my situation around several times and if I do decide to open an account with this Bank(Credit Union), I will go to another town to set it up!!! It’s like she doesn’t care at all, has NO pleasantries, I just don’t know, but I’d bet a million bucks this bad management skills trickles down and helps to get the negativity I saw in other reviews. Maybe got the job cause she knows someone, and also knows they are the only bank in town… wish I could open competition!!! Sad, cause I love having good experiences with my banks and their excellent employees, and always have…. Until now.

After three months with this Credit Union, I am finding out that a check I deposited will have a 9 day hold! They tell me this is the policy until I have had the account for six months. So, they will have my money in two days, (the check is drawn on a major bank), but I won't have access for another week after that! Unbelievable! Update: Way past 6 months later and now they want to hold a check deposit for 7 days, which is better than 9, but still ridiculous! Banks have had the ability to verify funds. They could do it with a phone call half a century ago, but somehow, with today's technology, you can wait a week to ten days for your money!

Can you please update your hours? Have a charge coming out tomorrow and drove from the lake to deposit cash and you’re closed an hour and a half before it says online. Wasting time and money and I’ll be charged a late fee :( someone else was here trying to make a deposit too since they also read online you’re open till 6

Had a fraud charge and dispute problem with 3rd party….financial horizons Lindsey personally went out of her way to contact me with a specialist to resolve, who was awesome (Tonya). Problems may come up, but they are always on it!

I made an over payment on my car loan. I left the over payment stay with Financial Horizons as they were paying interest. On the last statement they charged $15.00 service fee and claimed he account was inactive. They never gave me notice, I closed the account and they refused to refund the $15.00 fee. Pretty greedy and I will never used them again.
