Opened an account with my husband at this branch. Love the savings they have and take time to explain each. Make sure to do research online before opening an account. So you have a background understanding of what each account offers.

I don’t understand the negative reviews. My husband and I have had nothing but excellent service anytime we call, and we even drove to the main branch to see the place and were impressed. Given the negative reviews, I called the regulatory agency for credit unions, NCUA, and they are in good standing. Don’t let the negative reviews stop you from using this excellent credit union. We spoke to Anthony today and his service, just like all the other times we called, is excellent.

I've been a member since the early 2000's and EVERYTHING has gone downhill. When my debit card expires, I don't receive a new card unless I call. EVERY other bank automatically sends a new card at least 1 week before expiration. I have to drive 1 hour to get to a branch. This bank is not beneficial anymore. I can't wait to drive 1 WHOLE HOUR to close my damn account. I should be able to handle that over the phone beings though I DO NOT have access to a nearby branch ANYMORE.

I am very disappointed with the customer service I received during my recent call today. The representative at the Erwin branch name Sharon I spoke with raised their voice, was dismissive of my questions, and behaved in an unprofessional and rude manner throughout the interaction. I was not given the opportunity to fully explain why I was calling, and the call was ended abruptly when the representative Sharon hung up on me. This experience was frustrating and upsetting, and it does not reflect the level of professionalism I expect from a bank. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to ensure customers are treated with respect in the future.

I love CUNJ. My parents are members since the 90's. I represent the second generation of my family to be a member. Hell, my husband is also a member. My overall experiences with the staff, both in person and via phone have all been professional and I never disconnected or left a branch, dissatisfied. All of my financial goals and plans have been satisfied through not just my own money, but the care that CUNJ gives to my money. Vehicles and Home Ownership are two of the goals that I accomplished through CUNJ and their loan opportunities.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
