After they placed my January payment for my auto loan to an old closed account I got a call on Feb 26th saying I was 45 days late!!! I said there is no way I made a payment on Jan 30th so after Diana did some investigating she found out they placed the payment to an old closed account and assured me it was taken care of! So this morning March 2nd a repo truck pulls up and takes my Jeep I called Diana who was as confused as I was so she put a supervisor Mike on the phone he proceeds to tell me it was my fault for being delinquent I said no it’s your banks fault for placing the payment on the wrong account so after going back and forth he tells my if I make my Feb payment which is only 10 days late and pay the repo fee he will have the leave my car so basically this bank took my car for being only 10 days late which my contract says after 30 days they can take it so they illegally took my car do your self a favor never do business with this credit union!!!

I have been a member of the NJTFCU for over 30 years. I have always been given exemplary service with friendly smiles. Last summer, I applied for used auto loan and got thee lowest rate that beat all competitors by .5%. I am now going back for a HELOC.

After being a member for years, I recently decided to apply for a small personal loan. After almost a week and providing paystubs, I was asked by Judy to provide my W-2s, an explanation on why I applied to their bank instead of my other credit unions, only to be DENIED. I have never been taking through an interrogation as such for such a small loan. I applied to my other credit union and was approved in one day. I closed out my accounts due to feeling as though I was treated unfairly.

Among financial institutions, Mercer County NJ Teachers’ FCU is truly a best kept secret. Even if your banking needs are very simple and mostly online with visits to the office infrequent, you’re not just a number here. People remember you and do all they can to provide the utmost in service for all their members.

Great staff and always greeted with a smile and excellent service. Most employees even call me by name.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
