I was a member for almost 10 years. I had an auto loan through them and I had no issues with that. I traded in my car, paid the loan off and haven’t taken out another loan since. Apparently if your account is inactive, meaning you don’t take out any loans through them for two plus years they start charging a $5.00 dormant fee and take from your $300.00 that’s needed to open up an account there. I was never informed of that when I first joined and they took a total of $51.00 dollars from my account. I closed my account this past week and demanded I get my full $300.00 dollars back from when I first joined to which I was only mailed a check for $249.00. If I didn’t cancel my account they would have eventually took all my money for absolutely no reason. Despicable.

The worst credit union I have ever dealt with, I have been trying to close my account for 2 1/2 months. I have done the form submitted my ID and nothing has happened I have left several messages and spoken to several workers no one has ever returned my call as promised. I would not recommend this place to my dog!!!! I will try to contact their corporate office before I get help from the media.

My experience with nfcu is when something goes wrong with their system and your loan payments don't get paid in time you get blamed for late payments... which effects your credit score or from getting other loans through them... they never take the blame... so my experience haven't been so good
