Do not waste your time here. I’m ashamed I’ve been a member for this long. Service is trash! Everything about this bank is so outdated. Do NOT recommend

WSFCU is second to none and that goes for Carissa Grace as well! From the moment I opened my account, I’ve felt like a valued customer, not just a number. Carissa is always friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to assist with anything I need. She went out of her way to ensure my auto loan was a success and easy as can be for me. Whenever I’ve had a question or needed assistance, I get a response quickly, and they always go above and beyond to make sure my concerns are addressed. One of the things I appreciate most is the transparency. There are no hidden fees or confusing terms—everything is clear and straightforward, which gives me peace of mind. The rates on loans are competitive, and I truly feel like the credit union has my best interests at heart. Overall, I highly recommend WSFCU to anyone looking for a trustworthy, customer-focused financial partner. They’ve earned my loyalty, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Huge thank you to Carissa Grace, I can't recommend her enough. She's an expert at what she does and she's all in for the members of WSFCU!

If I could give negative stars I would. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with a loan officer at White Sands Federal Credit Union, and I must say, it was one of the most frustrating and disheartening customer service interactions I’ve ever encountered. From the moment I spoke with the loan officer, it was clear that my name and financial situation were met with a level of disdain and condescension that I can only describe as elitist. The tone was dismissive, the questions invasive in a way that seemed more about judgment than understanding, and there was an overall lack of empathy or professionalism that left me feeling both small and unimportant. What struck me as particularly troubling was the way my situation was handled. I’m fully aware that financial institutions have protocols for assessing risk and creditworthiness, but the loan officer seemed more interested in scrutinizing my background and making assumptions based on my name than actually helping me navigate the process. It felt like there was a clear bias at play—an undercurrent of racism and classism that made me feel like my business wasn’t wanted or valued because of who I am and where I come from. This is not only unprofessional; it’s utterly unacceptable. I’ve dealt with other credit unions and financial institutions before, and I’ve never been made to feel so unwelcome, judged, or outright discriminated against. The fact that this occurred at a credit union, an institution that claims to serve the community, is especially appalling. I left this interaction feeling completely disillusioned with White Sands Federal Credit Union and will not be continuing any business with them moving forward. I strongly urge others to consider carefully before trusting this institution with their financial needs, as the treatment I received was not just poor service—it was discriminatory, elitist, and deeply offensive. To anyone in a similar situation: Don’t let yourself be treated this way. There are plenty of other institutions out there that know how to treat their customers with respect, dignity, and fairness. I wish I remember the name of the woman I spoke with but luckily for her I do not.

This bank is the absolute worst. Every time I try to do the simplest task, I can't. They also increased their charge for checking accounts, that are under a 1k balance, from 2 to 3 dollars. Who still charges for a checking account in 2024? I can have my money in a different bank with zero fees, a higher interest rate on my savings account, deposit capabilities at the ATM, a call center that's actually open, a website and app that work consistently, and have zero headaches! If you are considering them as a bank, don't. If you never want access to your money, the staff, or your account online, then this is the bank for you!! I have written a review of them before but it looks like it has been removed. Probably because I detailed more issues that I've experienced with them throughout the years. I will be slowly closing my accounts and having less headaches.

My view of this bank has changed to a very positive experience recently. They are the only bank who will work with your personal circumstances, as in "skip a payment". I had to call in to discuss it and the person was very unhelpful, rude, and didn't offer me the options i found out later were available. Well a week passed and i received a call from management apologizing for the agent and the bad service on the phone call. NEVER has that happened! They refunded my payment and told me the agent was supposed to ask me some questions. I'm very glad to have my car loans here!
