I am very happy with the service I get from Polish and Slavic Federal Credit Union especially the McGuinnes Branch in Brooklyn. My father has been a client with them for over 40 years and me 10+ years. The help in person at the bank is amazing and the help over the phone is great as well. They resolve all issues in a timely manner and I have no complaints!

This is a review of the credit union, not this branch in particular: I opened an account in order to support my Polish community abroad. At the time I was located in SC, far away from any branch. I made that clear when opening my account. Within a six month period, Victoria from compliance department blocked access to my account for multiple days, leaving me without access to my funds. On the first occasion, Victoria from Compliance eventually returned my phone call and interrogated me about three accounts that I linked to my account (two other bank accounts and my retirement/investment account), only then she unblocked my online access. On the second occasion, I called in to ask if I need to report that I will be depositing tens of thousand of dollars, I was told no. Two weeks after depositing $30,000, Victoria from Compliance (as it later turned out) called me up and directly asked for my SSN to confirm my identity, when I refused (as it’s against their policy), she threatened and then blocked my online access. After that, I closed my accounts and moved to my local credit union in Colorado. This is a circus on wheels. That’s how a Polish credit union treats a Polish immigrant who supports him community.

I don’t usually write reviews but my experience with Psfcu and especially Aleksandra deserves to be shared. Pleasant, professional, and efficient. I opened a checking account for my son. Everything went very smoothly and now I want to open a checking account for my other kid. Very friendly and patient staff plus answering all my questions. I highly recommend McGuinness Branch.

Closing my account and taking it to another bank! The staff has always been great no complaints there. But debit cards are not secured here. I have fraudulent transactions every single year and need to block my card and order a new one. This happens too often! Not secure at all. I just had fraudulent transactions last month, got my new card last week and withing a week have yet another fraudulent transaction. Absolutely ridiculous. I have an account in another institution for many years and that has never happened to me. This is not acceptable and I am sick and tired of being put in this situation of having to block and renew my card. Having to reapply my automatic payment methods all over again with my bills. PSFCU, find a better way to secure your members dollars!!! I am done with this nonsense!
