I have been doing all my banking at St. Joseph Parish Federal Credit Union for some years now. In fact, after joining I stopped using commercial banks. The interest rates at SJP are superior, enabling me to meet my long-term financial goals. I also appreciate their prompt and friendly service. In fact, when I enter in person or call, they recognize me and greet me by name. At what other bank would you be immediately greeted by your first name when you walk through the door?

I really love this bank because it has a community spirit to it. The new operating officer tries to initiate programs for the children in the community to be more involved in sports and other activities which I find to be admirable. Also, the staff at the actual credit union are absolutely spectacularly helpful and because it’s such a small bank they pretty much know who you are when you come I highly recommend this credit union because it keeps consistently has great credit bearing accounts and has never wavered from Small business loans and personal loans to anyone in our community I highly recommend this little credit union it reminds me of the little credit union that could or as you remember it the little train engine, same principle

We absolutely love this credit union and have multiple loans through them, both business and personal. They’re easy to work with and easy to talk to. They are always our first choice in banking.

This place either had a data breach, or they are selling my info. See attached. I had a boat loan with them years ago. I paid it off and closed my account. 2 years later I'm receiving offers in the mail "for members of sjp credit union" for insurance and other nonsense. The first time I called them and made mention, the girl said "I thought we had stopped that - I'll put a note in your account and make sure it doesn't happen again." 6 months later I get 2 more (attached). I called again, mentioned to the person on the phone who denied that they sell my info (how else would Liberty Mutual end up knowing I was a member here at one point?). She sent me to the voicemail of the CEO. I left a message with him, saying the same thing. I never heard back. I wanted a boat, not to have my data sold (or breached?). I closed my account, but apparently I'm still being sold. I would suggest going elsewhere for a loan.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
