I requested a payoff of my Home Equity Line of Credit. I was given a payoff statement that included $1,600 in closing costs because it was 7 days before the 3 year waiting period to avoid paying the closing costs. I would expect to pay them if I was paying it off 2-3 months before the repayment period but 7 days! When I brought this to the managements attention, I was told they have to charge the fees because of the refinance boom. I have worked within the credit union industry for over 30 years and know first hand this does not support the credit union philosophy. So 7 days at $6.13 per day is $42.91. I hope that additional interest is worth this stellar review. Perhaps when they change their name it should be the Bank of Clarence because that is the mindset they have.

Amazing how one person with a horrible attitude can ruin your impression of a business. I hope they can re-train "Jackie"with basic customer service skills. You can talk to ppl with common courtesy and respect, regardless of whether they are the member of your CC Union or representing a member of your business. Appalled at this woman's lack of common courtesy and decorum, I hope no one has to deal with that going forward.

Wonderful credit union. They gave me a fresh start 10 years ago. I would not go anywhere else.
