I’ve had a mostly very positive experience with this credit union. While I did have a small issue with my account in the past, it was handled well and didn’t take away from the overall experience. What truly stands out is the customer service it’s AMAZING. The staff are incredibly kind, caring, and genuinely take the time to help. Everything is handled quickly and efficiently, and you never feel rushed or brushed off. A special shout-out to Anthony Diamico (apologies if it’s spelled incorrectly 😂). His kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help really made a difference and left a lasting impression. It’s refreshing to bank somewhere that actually makes you feel like a person and not just an account number. I’m grateful to be a member and would definitely recommend them.

Cornerstone was my last resort to try and get a small personal loan to help fix my car and get me out of tough times and they let me down. My credit isn’t even terrible. Mid 600’s and still because i have some past mistakes on my report they didn’t even consider me. Not to mention i even had a personal loan in the past through them that i paid off on time. They didn’t care. They are just like every other bank who doesn’t care about helping their customers. I pulled my money out and left. They preached that they are easier to get loans through because they want to help their people. Clearly not.

Bought a car at the Honda dealership down the road 3 years ago. Had I known the dealership would go through this place I would have walked away due to a couple bad experiences in 2005, when i closed my savings account i had since 1982 after being approved for a car loan, then when i went to proceed with the loan they found a reason to deny me. The dealership set up my loan this time, I was sent a letter with my loan info, but no account number. I live 35 minutes from the bank and work another 35 minutes further away so time to go in person is hard. I tried to call, was told they can't give account numbers over the phone and it should be on the letter I receive. It was not. I just wanted to pay my loan. I asked the lady how many random people pay other people's loans. I did eventually get another letter with the account after 2 phone calls. REAL Great customer service. Recently I switched car insurance. I received a letter that they wanted to verify we still had full coverage on the car. Sent everything i had in an email and thought we were all good. I work a lot and don't always look at my mail, as most things are done online. My wife opened a letter today, and aparently they have added 1300 dollars to my loan because I did not provide something that showed they were to be paid in event of loss. So they can't be bothered to pick up a damn phone or send an email, (it is 2025, not 1980). I will be refinancing my car loan asap and they will not get another penny of my money . Screw me 3 times you're out!!

For years I have had problems with the fraud department randomly locking my card or canceling a charge right down to our local grocery store, Tops, every single week. They finally (after years) said they traced it back to My Apple Pay triggering it, but they fixed it. I have been told this repeatedly every time the card was blocked and once again it was not true. So when I called Lockport, I was upset at the fact that I had to go through this again and the first lady could give me no information and when I asked for a manager, she transferred me to somebody’s voicemail. Paul. I left a message and realized that I forgot to ask if my card was unlocked so I could use my money when I felt like it. I called back and Debbie answered the phone and she couldn’t tell me because even though I had all of my pertinent information some code I have never been asked about before in all the times I’ve called. I didn’t know. So she transferred me to another lady who was exceedingly ignorant, and refused to tell me if the card was unlocked because I have been passed to a manager. When I told her I had groceries and I needed to pay for them and I need to know if my card is working she absolutely refused to give me any information And again transferred me to Paul who clearly is not available. Basically, she was keeping my money hostage as punishment because I was unhappy. I called back again and spoke to Debbie and told her that I was filing a complaint with the federal reserve about their banking practices and that somebody needed to tell me now whether my card was unlocked or not. Debbie put me on hold and then came back to say that, yes, in fact, it was unlocked. You shouldn’t have to threaten a bunch of adults with a governing branch that overseas how they behave For them to tell you if you can use your money. There are far better credit unions in better places to go. Don’t even bother. I have never had more problems with a financial institution that I’ve had with this place. I did finish my complaint, even though they answered my question finally so we’ll see what happens…
