I have been with UFirst 10 years now, the staff is always polite to me and very understanding in most cases. Leah Dubrey in particular has always been amazing!! Thanks sooooo much for your help with my recent big transaction, nothing like a patient person like Leah to help you out!

I've been a member of Ufirst for all 8 years I've lived in Plattsburgh. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They offer notary services for free which is a nice perk. I've financed 2 cars through them and their interest rates blew the water out of anything the dealerships could offer. I've also explored getting a mortgage refinance and home equity loan through them. Their loan officers were straight forward about the best options for me and not at all pushy. They recently got a new mobile app that allows for mobile deposit and a few other things.

Well, I wanted to open an account with them tomorrow and tried calling today to find out what information I would need to bring to get that done. They won't even answer the phone, been on hold for ten minutes and keep getting booted back to the main menu... going to try Adirondack federal credit union, hopefully they have a better system in place that is more professional. Yikes.

While on vacation 1400 miles away from home Ufirst decided to decline our cards multiple times. We have literally called 6 days so far out of 9. The Visa Dept heather asked my husband what he wants her to do about our card declining. He said he wanted her to do her job. The excuses have been can’t go over 15 transactions(which we did and they extended then the card worked) then another excuse was can’t spend over $1500 a day (which we didn’t do) Then she proceeds to tell us it’s a chip error but we’re using Apple Pay. She proceeds to tell us there is nothing she can do and hung up on my husband. Poor service when we have thousands of dollars in loans, and in our checking and savings but no access to it. Shelby the bank manager deserves a Pat on the back. She explained bank sharing to us and hopefully made it possible for us to drive home.
