Very disappointing, was simply looking to establish a savings account but they require proof of residency by means of a utility bill. They do not accept pay stubs showing proof of residency, they do not accept renters insurance that shows proof of residency or even phone bills. It pretty much has to be a utility bill or internet bill or your W2 which has to be the current address. So even if your trying to apply before you recieve your W2 and it isn't up to date with the current address then this also will be deined. If you do not have any of these things in your name specifically, then your most likely going to be denied through the application process. This company makes it very hard for people in the Mecklenburg community who are simply trying to start a savings account without certain bills listed in their name, even though technically there is proof of residency in other areas. Don't waste your time.

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a credit union. The staff is very helpful and friendly. You will always be greeted with a smile. Stephanie Harrison is simply the best with loans and made buying a car a seamless process. I would highly recommend Blue Flame for all of your banking needs. No long wait times and a phenomenal staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a great experience with Blue Flame CU from account opening to car loan funding. Loan rate was unbeatable. It was always easy to get a response from someone either by phone or email and each person was so helpful and made the process simple. It's like a hidden gem for Mecklenburg County.

It is hard to describe the level of professionalism, efficiency and values held by everyone at Blue Flame. Lending, deposits or general involvement with the community – you are sure to be as pleased with the bank as I have been.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
