Shady organization. We set up our online Allegacy account to autopay our Allegacy credit card and it worked fine for months. Then they decided to completely overhaul their online system and in the process canceled our autopayment without notifying us. They then charged us a $25 service fee because of their mistake. When I explained to them that it was their website change that resulted in the payment not going through, their reply was "sorry, we won't refund the service charge." There are no telling how many good customers were burned by this scam. Good companies recognize and appreciate good, prompt paying customers. Shady companies engage in "tricks" in order to gain more questionable "fees." I recommend that you deal with a more reputable credit union.

Needed to resolve log in issues and take care of some biz. Once I knew I had to call in, I thought this may take 4ever, bummer. But to my surprise, I was wrong! Sharon the associate that helped me, not only was she very friendly, but also answered all my questions and provided helpful tips. She also stayed with me to make sure I was able to log in once she corrected the issue. She went up and above she had to and it was done also in a timely manner... EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE in my opinion. I also since banking with them at this point, highly recommend Allegacy Federal Credit Union.

Excellent credit union! The staff is wonderful and I really appreciate their business model. It's always a pleasant experience at my local branch in Mount Airy.

I immediately greeted when I entered the branch. I observed that all the employees were very friendly and each customer was promptly greeted and thanked for their visit.

This place sure has gone downhill. Service used to be really good. Plenty of issues at different times. The latest is call in, wait for 30 minutes to speak to someone. Finally get a rep, give her my details and while she is looking up my account she cuts me off. Doesn’t even have the decency to call back. Making it real hard to stay.
