Been a member since 1986 and I will forever remain. The staff is 100% skilled in customer service. I actually feel like I am speaking with friends and family when I call. Thanks PACU for being so amazing.

For almost 10 years, I had a home equity line of credit here for access to funds when needed, which was used many times and paid off many times. But this time, after doing a balance payoff online, it turned out 17 cents was still owed because interest was added before the transfer went through. So, I drove 30 miles to payoff my 17 cent balance in person to bring it back to a 0 balance because you can't pay 17 cents online. So what does the teller do?? She took my 17 cents and closed my account. I didn't know she closed the account until i received a letter from my county that the security had been closed over a week later. Just a little bit of communication or questioning to be sure I wanted to close the account, could have prevented this mess. I have paid them thousands in interest over the years, but no more. All because of 17 cents 🙄. Just as expected, we're sorry is all they could say, we would be glad to start a new application process. Nope, not today, sad to say, but this was the END of my PACU account.

If you are familiar with the current used car market, you know you have to act fast when you find a good deal because if you snap your fingers it's gone. I found a 22 model Y Tesla for a great deal from private seller. I told the seller I would open an account at PACU and finance the car. Over the phone the phone, a PACU employee told me not to worry about opening an account till I was approved for the loan. Makes sense, so I apply for the loan. For four days I was emailing back and forth with them as they kept requesting more documents and had extremely slow response time. Meanwhile, I'm having to beg the seller not to sell to someone else. On friday at 4 pm the loan department now tells me I need to open an account before they will see if I can qualify for the loan. This is conflicting information from what I was first told and pushes everything back to Monday. The seller is ready to sell to someone else now, so I decide to drive over an hour to meet with them in person to finalize my application to be a member and my loan. To be a member you have to jump through crazy hoops more so than any other credit union I've seen. Finally, I meet with a loan officer named Perry. He asked me why I was so anxious to get this deal done today. HAH! I have been working on this deal for over a week getting drawn out by his department! I show him the messages from the seller who's losing his patience. Perry says to me that he has decided he will not lend to me because he doesnt understand why I am so rushed. ARE YOU KIDDING? I am rushed because you guys won't give me a straight answer. I ended up applying at Founders federal credit union, didnt have to jump through any hoops to become a member, and got an interest rate almost a whole percentage point lower. I am now the happy owner of a Model Y, no thanks to these guys.

Each and every time I've entered the building, I was greeted by someone following with, someone will be right with you or it will be just a moment. If every one else was still with a customer, their very professional & polite branch manager Maleia would step in, apologize for the delay & help someone. We all must understand that ever member that comes into the lobby may possibly have different needs so the timing of services will vary. If I by chance need a Notary while I'm there, they don't hesitate to have someone available for me(thank you Miranda.) The lobby area has always been clean. I love the fact that there is a sign before entering that reads, "No sunglasses or hoodies on head." I definitely love this location much better than the Hanes Mall location. These group of ladies are definitely at asset to PACU.

Had to have a savings account to have a credit card. Had the minimum in savings. They moved the credit card to be managed by another company. Since I no longer had a credit card associated with the account they said there was no activity in the savings account. There never was activity in the savings account. All the activity was with the credit card. I was never contacted about what would happen when the credit card was moved to new company. So they took the $10 dollars from my account. When I questioned it they just said you have had no activity in the account. I closed the account and will never deal with piedmont again. Pretty petty to rip off customers for $10 bucks. They have rectified the issue by refunding my money which they should have done in the first place when I contacted them. Thank you.
