I would like to give 5 stars for the friendly and caring staff, but it's a terrible bank. I think they used to be the top choice in the past, but it seems like this bank is stuck in time. If you're an older person, like a dinosaur, I would definitely recommend UFCU. The website and the difficulty of doing anything make it feel like you're in the '90s.

This is where loyalty goes to die. . . . After more than two decades as a member, I'm done. I can be treated like a number at any other bank or credit union. During the app update/ outage last month, I was charged (2) $5 penalties to access my own savings. One of which I previously scheduled before the outage. After several calls with absolutely NO return calls, I'm throwing in the towel. There are better savings interest rates to be earned out there so please, please shop around. If you're just moving to Grand Forks or getting started at UND then I strongly suggest you look elsewhere for your banking needs. If anyone at UFCU such as Sherry (who caused this problem) OR Lacey who I can only assume is Sherry's minion would like to reach out to resolve this situation then I will be most happy to remove my comment. Update. . . NO ONE has bothered to contact me about this review and the lack of service in over a year. I've stopped banking with them long ago. I have a small loan which I could pay off, but the interest is less than 2% which is the only compliment I have to give to Sherry and her minions. I tried to transfer the rest of my savings out recently. So I attempted a "test" transfer of $1 to make sure the accounts matched. I was hit with a $5 transfer fee. Sherry AND Lacey you have got to be kidding me! Is THIS how you justify your salary? Bottom line. . . a Credit Union is designed to bring the human element back to banking. This place is such a same. You could have been for the community, but you're greedy just like a bank.
