I've had ups and downs with this credit union, but mostly downs. The most recent situation forced my husband and I to close out our loan and close all of our accounts. Because we had a loan with this credit union, we were eligible for holiday skip a pay. This is where you get to choose (for a fee) to skip either November or December's loan payment. I submitted the paperwork and chose to skip December's payment for the 2025 year. I personally went into the bank to make sure the document was received. I made sure November's loan payment was taken out. I made sure the "skip a payment fee" was taken out. Everything was good to go - or so I thought. The Saturday before Christmas I logged into our account to find that they had taken the loan payment anyhow and caused 3 items to bounce. I had to wait until Monday to call up there to get it fixed. Ashtabula branch manager was certain that the fault was with me when I spoke with her and that she would "have someone check it out". No apology or anything from her. Finally I received a call from the Jefferson branch manager stating that the loan payment was put back into my account and that all fees were reimbursed. When I had asked for additional information as to what might have happened I was told that she didn't know, but it was ok because they corrected everything.... Yet again, no apology or remorse over what transpired. I would urge those that bank with this credit union to be very careful. This was not a tiny mistake in my opinion and neither one of the branch managers apologized or showed remorse for what happened. Neither one supplied an explanation either.

I have been banking with them for a little over 3 years now and I can't say anything, but positive things. My credit score was really low and I couldn't get approved by anyone...they approved me! Now I have excellent credit. I love my credit union!!
