They charge you for every little thing. They are a very backward company for as much as technology has changed If you want to see what your bank account is or how much you have to call on the phone, they charge you to send out a paper statement. They charge you. It's free to check on line, but you have to do all the work. Their app is completely trash. You cannot connect other cards or other things to it. I have credit cards.I wanted to connect to the account and you cannot do it.The way that it needs to be done that.I've seen other banks offer. So I think we're going to partways with them. They're just too far behind and technology and their app is just trash. Unless you have your money direct deposited to them, the only way that you can get money into your account is to bring it in.I have several other cards that I wanted to connect so that I didn't have to drive the 5 miles into town every time I wanted to put something in the bank. Every time I try to explain what I am attempting to do they look at me like i've grown a third head. I.'m surprised you don't get charged for walking in the door because they charge you for everything. I needed a copy of something and I was charged for it. Something that they had asked for and I was still charged. Their app is basic at. Yes, and I mean, nothing over the top and nothing fancy. I don't even see an option to add bill pay or anything.I had made a phone call to the bank and I was told I would need to come in and set that up.That is not something that they readily do. I'm just over this bank. The only positive thing I will say about this bank is if you're older and you don't like a lot of change then this is the bank for you. I am Unhappy with the bank and I am fixing to leave.

This is by far the worst banking experience I've ever had. If you bank here, it's equivalent to if not less then chime banking seriously. There is not a chip in the debit card. It's not compatible with apple pay nor google pay. Each teller has there own set of guidelines. Most are very rude. The outdoor drive through speakers are trash. The lack of customer/client appreciation is truly remarkable. I could go on and on. Please utilize Ally banking or chime before you deal with Chivaho Credit union. They give credit unions a bad name.

Terrible service from the management. No clear communication as far as loan information. I was lied to and made to feel stupid about an existing loan. Terrible online service. Takes forever for charges to be taken off and pend for days before showing an accurate balance. Chrissy or however you spell it hung up on me after lying about an agreement she claims we made over a NON recorded phone call.. can never get ahold of Laura Roberts. Such a small location and bank with such little communication and supports. It’s actually sad… I was made to feel like I was stupid and wrong. I couldn’t even ask questions about my loan with out being interrupted as if I’m a child. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BANK! Especially if you plan to move out of state. Again, Chrissy specifically is terrible at customer service. Before, I could even explain myself with any issues I was interrupted! The tellers are great and very nice just the information is never in your favor. No emails to prevent anything or calls.

meh, not bad if you just need a basic banking account, but I would choose elsewhere if you need a lot of personal interaction - that vibe is just not there - staff are very blunted. Bridge st is better than the VA branch IMO Updating to a 1 star due to the complete mishandling of a pretty big "outage" - Website was down all weekend, but I could log in on the app. When I checked to see if my check was deposited per schedule, it was NOT. This was not an issue with just my check, this was a SYSTEM issue with everyone's check. I called and no one had a clue that there was a problem. They acted clueless. They could not give me any information on when people can expect their checks or what the problem is. They just said "they submitted a ticket" - I have bills to pay and people to feed. Why does it take a customer to tip off that there is a problem? What in the world. An email or a website announcement would have been REAL helpful to let people know that there are problems and that you're aware.

I just tried to use the atm machine. At first the screen was normal. I put my card in it then it said sorry this is temporarily out of order, and it kept my card. They wouldn’t give it back and said I would have to go to my bank and Cancel it. I been using it since 2018. But what got me more upset was the Disrespect I got in there. One lady working wouldn’t even talk to me. It just made me love my bank even more Vinton County Bank I was thinking about opening an account there glad I didn’t. It really scared me not knowing if someone got my card
