Take your money and your business anywhere else you possibly can. I've been a member of this bank for almost 20 years and they have gone so far downhill, I moved all of my finances to another bank and will never go back. My entire family left before me and in the process, my parents forgot to update an auto payment they had, and overdrew their account as a result, incurring a fee. This bank took the money from MY account to pay this amount, and on top of that never notified me. I only knew because I pay close attention to my finances and asked what this surprise money withdrawal was for. This was never resolved and my parents ended up reimbursing me. After that, I had a check rejected while doing a mobile deposit because their app had two different instructions for how to endorse the check on two different pages in the process. I chose the wrong one apparently. I tried to tell them this and have them make an exception until they fixed the app and the conversation got elevated to their "Member Service Experience Manager VP" Melissa. She insisted it was user error, my app was the old version, not updated, etc etc and that there was not a discrepancy on their app for the better part of two weeks via messages. Finally I had to screenshot and walk her through it step by step while also sending a screenshot of the app version on my phone. She only then actually checked with her team and realized I was correct. So everything got resolved right? No, she told me rejected checks can't be reviewed because the photos aren't retained....I can go on the app still right now and pull up the images of my rejected check. So again, she had no idea what she was talking about. I told her the images were still there and never got a response back. So much for that "member service." So, as I said, yourself a favor, save the headaches, bank anywhere else you possibly can.

Stan Berenda (manager) called regarding an overdraft on my checking - the initial call was a welcome courtesy, but my appreciation quickly faded when a request to waive the fee was denied. Despite the 'goodwill gesture', there was no flexibility ~ Stan decided the strict policy was more important to enforce than waive a fee as a courtesy. I explained I was out-of-state for a family emergency & I never had an overdraft & this was a human error. Although I was an OC Federal CU member for 30+ years and stated my other bank has NO FEE to transfer my own money from my savings to my checking, Stan chose bank revenue over customer satisfaction, retention and loyalty! He 'wished' he had the ability to waive the fee - I wished I had my $30.00 back.

Ohio Catholic truly cares about their customers. They have great rates but what truly sets them apart is the exemplary customer service. I’ve refinanced two vehicles within and my son refinanced as well with them. They made the process so easy - I highly recommend them!

This was my first experience with Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union and I couldn't have been more pleased. The person with whom I opened the accounts was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous, and the transactions were handled efficiently. The CD rates were better than those at other local financial institutions; I look forward to doing business with Ohio Catholic FCU in the future!
