Our experience was the worst! They were so very unprofessional and difficult to work with. Closing my husband's deceased mother's account shouldn't have been that difficult. They put us through all kinds of hoops and hurdles, ignored the facts that my husband was executor of the will, had the probate court letter and TIN number, and had already opened an estate account in her name. They insisted his father (also deceased) was the primary account holder, and that his mother should have removed his name after he passed. She was in memory care at the time of his death and had no ability to take care of it! Besides that, the paperwork shows it's a joint account. No other institution we worked with gave us a hassle. Do employees get some kind of bonus for how many open accounts they have? It just seems odd to operate the way they do. After my husband argued the point for almost a half hour, they finally agreed to close the account. Just awful.
