Does not care about people going through financial hardships, even if they are long term members. I have had 3 different vehicle loans through Abbey, and had a history of good on time payments. The bank has certainly made their money from me. I recently switched jobs, moved, and took a part time spot with a company due to having a newborn, and have had struggles making payments, though my account is actually up to date. The union refuses to budge an inch. They would not let me close out my checking account, for starters, and so I found a new bank (partially because I now live an hour away from the branch). Lo and behold, two suspicious charges from a strange vendor appeared and caused the account to overdraft by $120. They refused to process a charge back over the phone, so I had to wait until I was free to drive an hour to the bank. They would not show any grace for the charges and forced me to pay them before I could even make a loan payment. Would not have even been an issue if they would have handled business over the phone. Avoid banking here if at all possible. They will make things difficult for you to take care of business and take however much money they can.

We closed a loan with them a few months ago and have since been contacted by them 4 separate times to sign documents that were not included in the closing! I've never worked with any company that failed this hard to provide all the documents the first time, much less 4 times and months later. They are forcing me to come into their office to in person sign a document even though I live in another state.

Just wanted to say as a member and a customer. Rhonda and Shawna have been the most Helpful over the years. Understanding and Reliable when it comes to my banking needs. When it comes to knowledgeable product information and attention to detail I'm truly happy with my choice of banking institutions. Glad they hire the best employees with integrity and true meaning of follow through. Wishing you both the best. Thank you.
