I work across the city in the municipal building. I had a $10 roll of quarters and just needed to exchange for a $10 bill. I walked in and asked if I could trade this in for a bill and was told very rudely "we dont do that"....that was said before asking what my name or account number or anything. Since when can you not cash in change for paper money at a bank. Ridiculous. To bad there is not a zero score available.

If I could give zero stars I would, the lady that called me THE DAY I WAS IN LABOR told me she needed the declaration for my insurance or she was going to tack on more money to my auto loan, I told her I was having my baby so I can’t do anything right now and her response was “WELL YOU BETTER CALL ME BACK” they will do everything they can to get more money out of you. They have added more money into my loan 3 times without informing me but once.

This place is going down hill!!! Usually don't write reviews but since the "system upgrade" has now cost me $338 (in processing fees to pay the bills) I thought maybe someone else was having the same issue. I received a letter and postcard within the last 1-3 weeks both stating that April 1st was the date. No where on this letter or postcard does it say they would be shutting online bill pay down on the 27th. I went in today the 28th to pay, clear, everything needed so the April 1st date was smooth. Unfortunately they shut the bill pay down yesterday. I literally have 23 bills due! It's the end of the month! When I called in to speak to someone the gentleman said "well the flyers in the lobby say the 27th". Guess what Sherlock if you are online banking you probably haven't been in to a lobby for awhile. Great work MECU!!! Thanks for the upgrade I'll be upgrading to a different bank.

I just tried to open up a banking account here for the fifth time I was asked to come back with additional documentation. This is the first time that I showed up and this time a new girl was trying to help me at the customer service desk and she kept interrupting me and talking over me and telling me that I will respect her because she is the supervisor and I’m in her bank. I was “in her bank“ and I couldn’t speak with the supervisor because she was the supervisor. I said is it because I’m black and she responded no it’s not because you’re a “nigg$:(?’m”. I try to work it out with the other supervisor that works there and he too was not a fan of my race. I will not do business with this bank nor will I ever have anything good to say about this being for the rest of my life. I not only was insulted but I now feel very uncomfortable to do business at their location. I kid you not they asked me to come back four times and addition to the first time. I had five for their location. Five times I went to their bank to present additional documentation that I truly lived in Oklahoma City. Because according to my Facebook I move around a lot… Is what they’re trying to tell me. I do not appreciate the tone of voice or an appreciation for my kind. It’s clear that they don’t like my type.

The downtown branch states that they will reach out once an officer is available. I've tried on 3 different occasions on 3 different dates several weeks apart to speak with someone that could help me. They just take my number each time and never return my call. I've yet to discuss my account or concerns with MECU. This type of service should be completely unacceptable!
