I’m a 73 y/o woman with some disabilities and chronic health conditions so I need help occasionally. My kids brainwashed me awhile ago to use uber, and delivery apps for groceries. Sometimes it works out but often it doesn’t. These services keep getting more and more expensive and there is no customer service; if they abandon you or don’t deliver what you ordered and paid for you’re just screwed; there’s NO way to resolve anything and you’re the one who loses. The other day in disgust I thought Taxi! Old fashion idea. Right from the start I was so glad I did. You call and talk to a real person (without being on hold for 2 hours!) who is polite and caring (gee like old fashioned “service”!) You can ask questions. You can call back and talk to a real person again who is considerate and helpful. The taxi driver loaded my heavy groceries into his trunk immediately without my asking (rare in uber; those young healthy drivers sit in their seat and watch while I almost tip over from trying to lift heavy bags.)You’d think for all this great service you’d pay dearly, right! Wrong! The cost is at most a third the cost of uber and other “app” services!! And the wait is usually shorter. Why did I ever do anything else! From now on I will be calling Radio Cab for my transportation needs!!!

Friday, Dec. 12, at about 2 p.m. I was out running errands. I made a quick stop in the Gateway Shopping Center on 102nd and Halsey. When I returned to my vehicle, it would not start. A jump did no good. I spotted a vacant Radio Cab a few parking spots away. When the driver returned to the vehicle, I ask if he was available for a fare. Paul was the kindest man. He delivered me safely to my home a couple of miles away in Parkrose where I was able to make arrangements to have my car transported and serviced. Thank you Paul. You saved the day. (And it WAS the starter.) Darlene PS My husband is going to be so happy with the little dash calendar. Thank you again.

I've been using Radio Cab for well over a decade, and after yet another great ride, I was inspired to leave a review. Radio Cab is professional, friendly, dependable, timely, and continue to be my go-to choice for cabs. In this era of canceled rides and sketchy drivers on ride-sharing apps, it's refreshing to have a dependable alternative...especially for important scheduled rides, like early morning airport drop-offs and appointments. They've never left me stranded. 5 stars!

I called Radio Cab ahead of time and specifically asked for an exact fare, clearly stating that I only had $20 cash. I was told on the phone that $20 would be enough, so I accepted the ride. During the trip, when the meter reached $19, I explained again that I had been told the ride would cost $20 total. The driver responded that I must pay whatever the meter said, then stopped the car in the middle of the road, locked the doors, and refused to let me exit unless I paid more. I told the driver I only had $20 and asked to be let out. He continued holding traffic and demanding additional payment. At that point I felt unsafe and unlawfully restrained. Only after repeatedly asking to be released did he unlock the door and allow me to leave. Locking a passenger inside a vehicle over a fare dispute is unacceptable and unsafe. This experience highlights why transparent pricing services like Uber and Lyft are replacing traditional taxi companies.

9/30/2025 10:50 am, Radio Cab #205, (Oregon tag 588 FSR) pulls into the neighborhood and parks in the No Parking Zone. Given the benefit of the doubt one would assume he was checking in with dispatch for his next location, but the piss puddle left behind tells a different story. I guess it was easier to jump in the back seat and piss out the side door then go to any number of nearby businesses with a public toilet. Do you think he cleaned up or even washed his hands before the next passengers sat back there. Judging by the chuckling of the dispatch this is a common thing done by the drivers.
