I hate going in to the bank and boy oh boy, this location is one of the reasons. Want to make a deposit inside at 11am on a Tuesday in the middle of the month with no upcoming holiday? Prepare to watch a single teller struggle through a line of people 15 deep. Depressing. For a while I opted to make cash deposits at the drive-up atm. Even though the atm looks like a relic from the 90’s it did fine, but for the last year or so this dinosaur is incapable of accepting bills. You think a bank would want an atm to accept peoples’ cash without taking up a teller’s time, but not MAPScu on commercial st! Every other MAPS location in Salem has updated, FUNCTIONING atms FROM THIS CENTURY. Update 10/2025: They got a shiny new drive-up atm, from this century no less! (That bumps you up to two shiny gold stars) However, I was informed at the beginning of this month they are “cracking down?” on completing money orders through their drive up windows. (Oops, back to one star for you.) Every month for the last eight years I have been able to use the drive-up windows at this location to get money orders to pay my rent and never once was any such arbitrary rule mentioned to me. I’ll be forced to see if teller staffing has improved since I wrote this review next month. Yippee!

I don't usually have to ask my bank for anything but recently I lost my card and I just moved out of the area, it takes 2 weeks just to get the replacement and I'm stuck without funds until then, scary to hope my gas will last the 2 weeks till I get it, def don't have enough to travel all the way out to a branch. One after hours rep told me they could rush me a card, I remember doing that for people when I used to work at a bank, but MAPS wants a freaking 30 dollar fee for it. I thought I could keep my bank while living outside the area but it's clear there's too many limitations, not enough splutuons, and I have to move banks now. 🙄

Always a positive and friendly experience in this South Salem Maps Branch. I feel that each of the workers are there to eagerly help me in any of my banking needs. It's one of those experiences of feeling like I'm treated as an important person or a friend rather another number waiting to be served, as I have experienced in other banks. What a refreshing and pleasant place to keep and utilize my money. Thank you Maps for all you do and how you serve me and my needs. Ken

I used to rave about Maps credit union, but since covid hit their customer service has absolutely tanked. I've been a member since HS, im in my 30s now, and I've only had to call their fraud department twice over being scammed out of some money. Both times they refused to do anything about it and I never saw a cent back. Why have a fraud department if they won't help with fraud? After being a member so long and not exactly making it routine to be scammed, the two times I really could have used their help I couldn't get any. And good luck making a phone call, you'll be on hold for over an hour most times. I am more than ready to finally switch to a different credit union, and maybe feel like they care about their members. If I wanted a big bank careless feel I would've put my money in a big bank.
