Southwest Communities Federal Credit Union in PA took $27.54 from my account due to “inactivity.” That is ridiculous. I trusted them to hold my money — not quietly take it because I didn’t make a certain number of transactions. This fee was never clearly explained when I opened the account, and no one warned me before the money was removed. Charging customers for not spending or moving their own money is predatory and misleading. A credit union is supposed to look out for its members. This feels like the exact opposite. If you’re considering banking here, be aware that they will take money from your account if you don’t use it often enough. I would not recommend this institution to anyone.

I like the credit Union very much. They still have tellers(!) unlike my previous one. The one location is in a tiny building in Carnegie, right downtown. The staff were gallium and courteous.
