I've been a member for years. I consistantly receive great service from all reps (both Greencastle and Chambersburg!) Recently--I had a special request and 1st Ed went above and beyond to accomodate me. It pays to be a member! Special thanks for Lori (hope I spelled you name corectly) and Denay for reaching out to make it happen.

This is a terrible bank they screw you out your own hard earned money every chance they get this new “update” they’ve been “spent many months preparing for this change” clearing they have not. I needed my debit card called never sent went in person they doubled charged me for a new card, 7-10 business days after the first time. The inability they cause almost caused me to be late on rent let alone I could have $500 in my checking and then get denied for a $100 charge. This use to be a solid place 4-5 years ago the past 2 years oh my have they crashed themselves I would never recommend I plan to close my account as soon as I get all my info transferred into my other accounts outside this nightmare of a bank. On top of that once they hear you’re going to try and close they charge your account with “Penalty ARP” they don’t care about they’re people they just want to steal your money. They also hide how to go paperless another example how they steal your money the give an excuse to charge you monthly instead of just automatically opting you in? I would never recommend this bank lord I pray there is even better options for our teachers because this is bottom of the barrel finances.

Edit - 11/03/2024 The folks at 1st Ed just completed a conversion in their banking software. (Members you may have read about it in your email or online). As technology goes, sometimes there are problems, so I was a bit apprehensive about what might happen. I logged onto my mobile app this morning and checked my accounts and they are all 100% correct everything is included my checking savings and credit card accounts along with the identifiers. I couldn’t be happier with the format, and want to thank the staff for their hard work, and informing me of the change and making it look better than before. This morning I received a call from the fraud department because I had placed some online orders last night. 3 were quite close together so it triggered them to act. We were able to go over my transactions and confirm they weren’t fraud. I am personally very happy they do this as I have had fraud on my debit card at a previous institution that wasn’t as savvy. If you want great service and a group of folks that actually care about you and your money I’d recommend you give them a call.
