I recently tried to get a $35k home equity loan for some big repairs I'm doing around the house and it was just an overall terrible experience. For 1, the woman didn't seem to want to help in the slightest, or was just incompetent at her job and couldn't help. She was completely oblivious that I had submitted nearly all the pay information. When she informed me my application was denied she just emailed me in a way that she was trying to push me away and wanted nothing to do with me. I had to ask her why I was denied and the reasons given made no sense at all so I kept pushing for alternative routes or more options and she just did not seem interested in getting my business. Mind you I make over $100k/year w/ a 770 credit score w/ no debt except my rental house and my car. Finally she came back with "I guess we can do $10k, let me know if you want it." Just a slap in the face. I went to Utilities Employees Credit Union and got the loan with no problem. I recommend everyone go there! They are extremely thorough and helpful throughout the whole process and really make you feel welcome. Plus the rates are even better than Red Rose, especially if you open an account! They have even better rates for car loans too, I'm switching mine over to UECU from Red Rose and lowering my interest almost 2%

Red Rose Credit Union has the lowest car loan rates I could find when it came to finance our new vehicle. I had a very positive experience applying for the loan - Veronica was very responsive and helpful. I've recommended Red Rose to my family members and have financed another vehicle through them.

First it is a credit union. 2nd people are always friendly. Great rates on loans. 3rd access to other credit union's ATMs.

I've had my share of issues with this place. It's unfortunate that all my bills go through this credit union that if I where to leave it would be a hassle to transfer everything to a newer bank. I applied for a auto loan which I was approved for. When through all the steps the loan officer put me through. My finance company couldn't get the credit union the payoff because there fax machine was down. Something that should take a few minutes took two days. After a week of trying to get this ready I go in to finalize the paperwork. They then tell me they can not finance my vehicle. After a week of telling me I'm good. The loan office forgot to "check the value" of my car. They also gave me a hard inquiry. On top of that my girlfriend has a account with them. The suggested to her to direct deposit her funds to her savings. Without telling her the debit card is only to her checking. For over a year she would swipe her checking card which the bank would charger her 10$ every swipe because she had no funds in her checking. The funds would get pulled from her savings into her checking but also she would be charge 10$ every swipe. It took almost a month to fix that issue and they only gave her back half of what they stole. This place is sad and the experience is horrific. I will be switching credit unions. Sad part is they could care less. Just like they did when I continuously had issues. I could keep going on about these experience but I just want the next person to be very careful about choosing this bank.

I love RRCU! They are super nice and friendly. I opened my account back in 2013 and since then, I have never left! They are like family. Did I mentioned they have the lowest loan rate around. The only negative thing is they are always short staff, which can be frustrating when you are in a hurry. Besides that, Best Credit Union Bank in Lancaster, PA.
