I would just like to say how honored I am to be a member of this wonderful congregation. Everyone here makes me feel accepted here. I get a well rounded Christian experience. Our pastor knows the word of god any he’s not afraid to tell it like it is. He keeps it real. All of the members are friendly and caring. We are truly a family in Christ. If you are looking for a church home look no further than Holy Trinity Baptist Church.

I am updating my review from 4 months ago. The reason i am updating my review of this church is because on the surface, Holy Trinity seems like a very loving and family oriented congregation who accepts everybody. But underneath that surface, there is gossip among church members, disrespect, jealousy, envy, pride, everything that is against gods word and the pastor condones this kind of behavior in his congregation. After being disrespected multiple times by various church members and coming to the pastor multiple times about it, he finally decided to have a meeting, but it was basically a meeting to bash me and he didn’t invite the people who were involved including his sister who called me on the phone ánd said some very foul things to me. and the leadership and pastor have a serious power struggle where they treat members as a funding source for this ministry but not as active stakeholders and participants in the decision making process in the life of and the direction of the ministry of Holy Trinity Baptist Church. As long as you are a regular member, they treat you well, but those who feel the call by god to move into leadership, be careful because this church will be quick to slander your name, you will be called a title seeker, attention seeker, seeking power and position. They will also use you as a pawn, placing you in ministry and then pushing you into a corner and placing their favorites or their friends in the church over you. They are also not accepting of people with special needs in any type of leadership position. And as an autistic person myself, I am quite tired of coming to church and just being a pew warmer and a seat filler and that the only place that i can be apart of in the church is the choir and Bible study. They also are all about the married folks, if you are not married or single with a six figure career and salary there is no place for you in this church. You will just be seen and not heard. They will use you as workhorse and only place you where they feel like you will fit, not based on your god given gifts and abilities. Your place in this church is determined by how big your tithing amount is. Or your social or economic standing. This place is nothing more than a Walgreens corporation disguising themselves as a church and a house of god. Oh and don’t be younger than everyone else. Because then you really don’t have an opinion. And don’t come to the pastor and share anything because he will run back and tell his whole family everything. Nothing you say will be in confidence. I advise anyone looking for a house of worship to look elsewhere, don’t get caught up in the smiles and the nice acts because it will only last for a short while. I have lost all faith in the church as a whole. And technically according to scripture, we are the church, not the building. It’s not about paying staff a salary, it’s not about any of that, it’s not about promoting the pastors ego. But a lot of pastors don’t like to admit that because then nobody would come to their church and the money would stop flowing. At the end of the day the church is just a business, Jesus has now become a product that leaders have to sell in order to get paid. What ever happened to people accepting Jesus for nothing in return?
