I was there for a funeral and unfortunately I was late since I took off from work. Parking was impossible to find because of the aftermath from the recent storm. I ended up parking at the fresh grocer and braving the cold to walk there. The people were so friendly and welcoming. You would think I was a member there! I unfortunately missed just about everything but I wanted to support a fellow church member from my church who lost her father. I will probably visit this church again in the future, but I think I'll take the train. It turns out there is available parking, actually several so I'll take that into account. Overall, considering the circumstances I had a great experience there.

I am writing this review after being a member for only 2 months. I have been in church all of my natural life, I have been active in church all of my life. Sometimes event then there is something missing. I ran across this church by just searching the internet after making a decision to move very close to the Philly area and it happened to be on a Tuesday night during Dr. Moore's weekly check in. The energy and love for the people made be log on for the Sunday service. I immediately was pulled into the church family... I knew it was the place for me. I have more spiritual interest than I have ever had before after being in church all these years. It seems the Lord ordered by steps to this church and I waiting see.

Wish I didn't have to visit for a funeral but the Pastor was on fire, preaching!

This has been the Long Family’s church for years! I remember my Grandmother fellowshipping under Rev. Campbell. While this had not been my home church, I’ve visited several times for weddings regular service, and funerals as well! The service done for my beloved uncle the late Deacon Stephen H. Long Sr. titled (The Prodigal Son) was nothing short of breathtaking! I’ve had the opportunity to hear the new Pastor while visiting for Easter 2019’s service and my family really enjoyed ourselves. The choir is fantastic - especially that Chanell Randolph (she can sang)!!!! The only reason I couldn’t give 5 stars was because the members are “serious” about their seating. Finding a family member (whom I was told usually has seats near them) I found three seats for my family. They let me know in the most Godly way they could muster, that they were NOT happy with us being on their pew; forcing my husband to sit on another row when he returned from parking the car. They save seats for those that regularly sit in a specific pew and they are SERIOUS about holding it! Aside that and parking, I would definitely recommend Mt. Carmel for visiting and/or making it your church home!

I went to this location for a sad event: the funeral of Dr. Shirley Walker Dixon. Nevertheless, it's a beautiful church, the cantor was excellent, and the pastor gave a passionate homily that easily held my attention. Shirley received a marvelous sendoff into the afterlife! Mt. Carmel should be very proud of itself!
