I have had accounts here for many years because they bought out my previous institution. I was already out and just stopped by. I asked if they could change my last name due to marriage and provided both my old (maiden name) and new REAL ID(married name). They refused! Everyone knows that marriage records are public record but refused look it up. Also, a person has to submit all current/valid documents to the state to even obtain a REAL ID. They wanted my marriage certificate. The kicker is that if I close my current accounts with my maiden name and open a new account- then they WILL use my current REAL ID to open a whole new account!!!! Really!! The same REAL ID that I originally gave them in the 1st place!!!! SMH! RIDICULOUS!

I wish I could give less than a 1 star. They do not care about their customers. They charge fee’s for virtually everything. $2 fee if you drop below $25, their threshold. Then, they charge you fees if they have to pull money from your savings into checking. Then they charge you a fee if you go negative - EVEN IF YOU SIGNED THEIR FORM TO STOP COURTESY PAY. Turning off Courtesy pay doesn’t stop you from getting fees. So not only will they not pay for the purchase, but they still kick you when you’re down and charge you $35 fee. Just kick people when they’re down. Horrible branches. Horrible back office people. At least their tellers are friendly. Go to a bigger bank than this sham.

Very unprofessional in my opinion. Now, I do not have an account with this bank and was using it via my shared banking with Triboro FCU. At the end of my transaction I asked if they could change my $20. I was told no because they don't do that for "shared banking customers". My God, you're a bank! I was asking for $20 in ones! Even the gas station down the street was able to oblige my request (a completely unnecessary stop, thanks)! It's 2022 after all. Maybe this is "corporate policy" but I thought it was super rude and guaranteed id never bank with United in the future. Ridiculous policy, if that's actually the case

I hate them the fees are outrageous and the staff don’t care at all. They are rude to you on the phone and they customer service sucks. They took so much money from me I’m so upset that I realize to late what was going on with my account and they closed it. Don’t do business with them
