Terrible!! I have an ongoing issue with getting a new debit card. This CU waits until the very end of the month to start making new cards for members whose cards expire at the end of the month. I was told that I would receive a call from someone at the CU when my card was ready to either pick up or have mailed to me. My card was expiring at the end of September, and by September 28th, I still had not received a call from someone telling me that my new card was ready, so I called them myself. I told them, because of their banking hours, that I was unable to make it down to them to pick up my card, and that I would be sending a relative, who also has an account with them, to get my card for me. They told me that they would not allow my relative (who also has an account) to pick up my card because they “needed me to sign something“. I was then told that they could mail my card to me, instead. I told them that if they mailed me my card, it wouldn’t get to me in time, that my old card would expire and I wouldn’t have a new card. The girl from the CU then told me, “Well, you won’t have your card before it expires, anyway.“ When I inquired about this further, she told me that “their software wasn’t working“, so they hadn’t made the cards. I asked why they didn’t call me to let me know that I wouldn’t be receiving my card before it expired, and she had no answer. I then asked when they would be done (as I was calling on a Monday), and was told that the cards would be ready “maybe by the end of the week“. I called the day my card was set to expire, and was told that they were still having an issue, so cards still weren’t made. I then emailed them about this the next day. They emailed me back the following day stating, “We are having issues with our debit card printer and are working daily with the manufacturer to resolve the problem. Unfortunately, we cannot give you a date on when it will be resolved. Bills paid via debit card transactions should continue to clear your account as long as the funds are available.“ First of all, I was previously told that there were “software issues” as the reason to why the cards weren’t made. The email then told me that they were “having issues with their debit card printer”. I also have to add to this that I, once again, called them directly and was told a third reason of “the machine is broken” as to why the cards weren’t made. That is 3 separate excuses for why the cards weren’t made. Second of all, this CU tried to convince me that I could still use my EXPIRED debit card. The whole reason why we get new cards is because the cards have expiration dates. My card stopped working halfway through the day on 09/30. I also tried to use it at an ATM just for the heck of it because the CU told me that I could still use it. It didn’t work because you can’t use it past the expiration date!! I kept being told that I would receive a call from someone when my card was ready. I called them again about halfway through the month and left a nasty voicemail. I have never left a nasty voicemail for anyone in my life. I was waiting to hear back from them the next day, but didn’t, so my relative called them on my behalf as I couldn’t keep taking time out of my workday to be calling them. My relative was told that the card still wasn’t made, and they didn’t know when it would be. She asked to speak to the manager several times. When she asked why they wouldn’t allow her to speak to the manager, she was told, “The manager doesn’t really deal with important things like this.“ She then asked how that made sense as the manager was the manager of the CU, and the “important things“ were exactly what she should be dealing with, and the girl couldn’t give an answer. I still haven’t received a call from anyone telling me that my card is ready, and I haven’t received the card in the mail, either. I will be closing my account with this CU. I’ve experienced nothing but excuses, lies, and avoidance from them. The manager apparently does nothing according to the other employees and refuses to deal with “important things“.

Worst place for banking needs! Charge 5$ monthly for online banking. Direct deposit payments on weekends or holidays held and not available until after w/e or holiday. Only 2 locations, one in Wilkes-Barre and Nanticoke. Also had my credit card hacked and was charged 10$ to replace card. Try Wells Fargo that make direct deposit funds available a few days earlier or PNC that has many convenient locations. Anywhere but here!!!

Went to apply for a car loan. After following up regularly for 2 weeks, the loan was never processed. I was told my credit was blocked. It wasn't, the credit pull showed up on my credit report and confirmed with the credit bureau. Was told the CEO at Vantage was going to look into it. She never did. Beyond frustrating. Went to Cornerstone credit union in WB and had the car loan in 2 days. Highly recommend Cornerstone for a loan.

I withdrew money from their Mac machine. The money never disbursed. I went inside the bank to ask what I have to do. They said they had to do an investigation will take a day or two then I can get my money. It has been over a month !! Vantage Trust says they sent it to my bank to put back on my card . My bank said Vantage Trust didn’t send them the funds. The bank manager at Vantage Trust will not even return my calls. This should be illegal. They took my money and won’t give it back. There is proof the funds did not disburse. I have no other choice but to call banking authority! I will never get my money at this point ….. this should be theft ! They charge us for every little thing ! Awful way to do business.
