Poor service. Got a Debit Master Card and you must always notify them prior to any travel or it gets blocked. The issue… 4 days calling every hour since 7:30am and leaving messages for call back and no one picksup the phone. Reach via their chat online and they refer you back to calling only. And they really expect one to go through this almost every week that I travel. If it’s my money and I have not reported the card lost, I am entitled to have the freedom to spend it at anytime - anywhere

My personal experience with this bank has not been the best. The website is dubious and very questionable due to the issue I have tried to login then it’s states that my password is invalid when I know the password, went twice to and called once and the issue is still persistent. I went on a Saturday and where they had this number thing going on felt like I was at a DMV the receptionist wasn’t rude however the approach was very inappropriate the snapping of fingers and the hand gestures was ghetto for my taste. Then I went over to retrieve cash the teller announced my amount instead of printing a balance receipt or writing it down I honestly didn’t appreciate that regardless her stance it was just unsafe. Due to issues of not being able to check my account, I went over to have a printed copy. The receptionist to a certain extent was dismissive. She went ahead and printed the copy she never voice that it comes with a charge of 5dollars fine, but what irked me the most was the “we have a chart her which you should have read”……. I do believe that she should have been a bit more customer service oriented and let me know there’s a charge! Not printing it and I’m caught of guard like wait what! I Honestly believing in taking my business somewhere else, my chump change ain’t going to affect your business however your staff can. I honestly hope you take my review in consideration….. it feels like I am being a burden to you when it’s my money… ppl shouldn’t be subjected to mistreatment.

If you are in the military (AC, RC & NG) do not finance your vehicle with them. If you PCS, they do not allow to move the POV to your destination. I have to refinance with other bank.

This is another unscrupulous company that takes advantage and makes handsome earnings off of Veterans, their families and even VA employees. Took 2 days to open the account and no employee mentioned the fees . They asked for 30$ up front "to open the account". Fiction. They take 30$ to be able to take a fee for the privilege of having their ATM card. Even if you don't use your card and only deposit money, every month they take a fee. Had their ATM for one weekend and two days. When the card was declined, I went to the bank and they said my account was in the negative. I asked, how come since I had just deposited 30$. Then they explained that the 30$ was for other purposes and I had to deposit more money. I closed the account, they still kept almost 10$, "for fees". My recommendation, don't use this credit union. There are others and with better services and better employees. The only advantage is if you work at the VA bc the bank is at the hospital. It has no other advantages. Personel doesn't know their own bylaws, no courtesy was shown, not even a " we are sorry for the "misunderstanding ". As I stated before, just another company taking the lifeblood of true American heroes. Taking advantage of the sick and underprivileged. Would have given 0 stars, but it's not allowed. The VA should do something about it but I would bet that there is some advantage for someone at the top to have their own credit union at a hospital. Just as we don't mix religion and politics in this country, hospitals and banks should not mi either.

Well if it wasn't for Joshua i would have scored ot a 1 star Joshua saved the day, yet still most employees in VAPR do not treat members as valued customers, which is sad as now i will be cancelling my membership, they have mistreated me once too many... i wish more of their employees were like Joshua who was only one willing to help... Bye Bye VAPR you need to improve... A LOT!!!!
