Always have a good experience at this branch. Nice people, can deposit money, get loans no issue. Hardly have written a check in years since online bill pay does it for me. Calls me with a human if they have questions, and responds to online inquiries when I send them. Online experience in general is great. What else can you ask for? I suppose the only criticism is it’s hard to get $1 coins from them and I can’t find a log of payments online for my mortgage but I haven’t messaged about that yet!

I recently had a loan closing and the treatment I recieved from Marisa and Joanne, the manager was the absolute best. They are so courteous and professional. They made a stressful situation so easy. Blake the teller makes you feel like you have entered a place where everybody knows your name. I recommend this bank to all my friends for banking and lending needs. The branch is AMAZING

I recently visited the Providence branch regarding a loan I had applied for online, and my experience with one of the staff members, JoAnna Zackarian, (Branch manager )was extremely disappointing. I was asked to provide my Social Security card, which I did, but I was then told I needed a “different” Social Security card because mine supposedly had a “restriction.” I explained that I am a permanent resident with a valid Green Card, which authorizes me to live and work in the U.S. Instead of accepting that, she insisted I provide a passport and visa—even though permanent residents do not have visas. When I reminded her that I am already a member with an active car loan since 2022, she dismissed it and even said she didn’t know how I got that loan back then. She also made an unnecessary and insensitive remark that she couldn’t relate to my situation because she was “born here.” What frustrated me most was her refusal to even verify with underwriting whether my Green Card was sufficient. She simply insisted on documentation that doesn’t apply to permanent residents. The lack of professionalism, cultural awareness, and customer service was very discouraging. As a long-time member, I expect respect and fair treatment. Unfortunately, this interaction left me questioning how Rhode Island Credit Union values its diverse members. I hope management takes steps to provide better training, so other members don’t face the same kind of treatment I did.

Branch manager doesn’t respond to calls regarding active loan. Employees are improperly trained and versed in loan products. Disappointing experience all around.

This place is so far the worse and I havent even gotten a loan with these clown of people yet thanks God, I was in the process of getting a loan and they were blowing off my phone continuously ending on a loop of calls with no follow up, absolutely unprofessional staff, I will go with other credit unions because this company stands as number 0 on the rank. Worthless and a total waste of my time.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
