Financial Sales Representative, Shaye Lara provided exemplary customer service while assisting me with a recent auto purchase. From the pre-qualifying process to the final sale, she consistently demonstrated professionalism, effective and timely communication, a calm attitude, and a thorough knowledge of the process. It was a pleasure working with her.

Stick around for the entire message, for it won't make sense to anyone dumb enough to trust this bank. I have had this bank for 5 years, I never had a single problem, until today. This bank will outrightly to your face, tell you, that if they steal from you, and you don't notice it, that you will be charged every 3 or 5 days $5 or more in my case ($8). So this bank behind my back, stole from ME $8 while I was once again transitioning from homelessness into a home right??. I expected no money for some time I'm seeking work. The only family I have alive sent me a Christmas thing on cash app, and I was going to use it for food, because for some reason food pantries serve everything but meat, which people need more than canned saltless beans. It turns out I was in the negative by almost $50 something dollars, and I was shocked to see that. So I called them on my behalf wondering why they would do this to me, because they quite literally stole money from me where there was none!!! And their fake yet "wonderful" staff told me that I now owe THEM money for the surcharges, after THEY stole from me!! I'm getting a new bank pronto. My fellow Americans, please abandon this bank. They are thieves and liars, and I just cant believe I had to type this all for you to be safe from this shady business. Please take care, and shame upon you South Carolina Federal Credit Union. You are all marked by the beast, there is no gates for you to pass through when you all die slowly in your greedy ways. The devil loves his servants after all.

Absolutely awful experience banking with SCFCU. Their support agents are never helpful, and supervisors are condescending. I’ve spent countless time on hold or bouncing around between agents trying to get good info, and am never able to get correct or helpful information. I’ve had issues like bounced direct deposits, random declines, etc. Most recently, after approving me for a line of credit, they closed the loan and my deposit accounts less than a month later, significantly impacting my credit score. Their reasoning? My activity “seemed weird.” My credit score is near perfect, and nothing I did was out of the ordinary. They refused to elaborate. For Charleston locals wanting a better banking experience with a credit union / bank that cares, I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Bayer Heritage FCU for my personal accounts and UCBI for my business accounts.
