If I could give negative 5 stars I would. Absolutely worst place to get a loan. Never received a call or message until I received something in the mail saying I was past due even though its set up on auto pay! Their website shows the payments as processed. So where did my money go?! And when calling and working out a plan and told that was fine yet they still show up to take my car and then proceed to tell me it's over 1500 more than I was supposedly behind?! And the lady flat out dismissing me and pretty much saying that sucks, cant do anything about it. *click* I will be refinancing through someone else asap! Worst bank to ever work with.

My husband and I have had this bank for 7 years and each year gets worse and worse. My husband called and talked to an extremely rude woman. To no fault of our own we had an issue with my husbands paycheck going into our other bank account and it bounced one of our checks. We were advised we can’t use mobile deposit for 6 mos and we’re also advised that the 200 dollars that we have in our account will be one hold for 10 days. That is unacceptable. Like most people we live paycheck to paycheck. They reran the check and received the money that the check was for. We will be closing our account once our personal loan is paid off and won’t be recommending this bank to anybody!!!

Today I experienced the most wonderful customer service from a teller named Jordell. The joy and laughs he brought so early in the morning was a fabulous way to start my day!!!

If I could give the company 0 stars I would. I used to love BHFCU so much until they decided to mark MY CARD as lost or stolen. Mind you prior to moving I had updated my address and everything that I needed to before I made a purchase with that card. It was going fine for two whole months until I was at the store with my girlfriends and my card was declined by the bank on a Saturday. So I called and she basically said that I! marked the card as lost or stolen and I was like why???? I never did that I’ve been here for two months now and I even updated my address and everything. She said well you’re just gonna have to call them during business hours (mon-fri) mind you, Mother’s Day is tomorrow on Sunday and I’m still not going to be able to use my card and go do the APPOINTMENTS that I had planned for my mother and I for her what was supposed to be A SPECIAL DAY. I’m completely switching my bank this is ridiculous, never even gave me ANY KIND OF NOTICE that they were marking my card. Never called and asked if I was making these purchases.

Zelle! One of the handiest ways I’ve been able to pay people except through BHFCU. Was told $100 max for the day! The lady I talked to got it changed to where I could send the absolute max for the day and the week which I thought was great. Then I go and try to send a small amount of money (less than $100) to someone and it gets denied. Many times getting denied and not letting me send money, I call them to find out why and they say I’ve been locked out for 7 days because I tried to send too much money and it locked my account and there’s nothing they could do until after 7 days. I never even went close to over the max for the day or the week and I get locked out. Super frustrating and more than likely will be switching banks because of this.
Weekdays 9am–4pm typically have the shortest wait times for new member inquiries.
