I entered the bank @ 4:45pm and asked to open an additional savings acct. When an unfriendly teller informed me that I’d have to arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time. I reminded her that they didn’t close until 5pm and they no longer had Saturday hours, and it was nearly impossible for me to get there by 4:30pm. She then told me I could go online and open a savings account on my own w/o their assistance. I stayed calm , as none of the other 3 employees offered to help, and we left. I currently bank at 3 different banks. I chose UT as it is a credit union, but I will be moving my money to a bank that is happy to see me come in and deposit my money. I’ve read several of these reviews, and for the life of me, I can’t see why management would allow this type of behavior. CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD BE A PRIORITY.

I have been a UTFCU member for over 15 years. I called their customer service number and spoke with ERICA. She wanted 6 pieces of information to verify it was actually "me". She was NOT PROFESSIONAL and was extremely CONDESCENDING & RUDE!!!!! She has NO business being in "customer service". Customer service is an OXYMORON to her!! She is COMPLETELY WORTHLESS!!! Debbie Jones, UTFCU CEO called me to discuss my experience. We discussed the reasons for my concerns and Debbie explained the reasoning for the verification needs with some current fraud trends. I appreciated Debbie's call and we were able to "work things out". Thank you Debbie.

I am surprised at the positive reviews below... I assume some members do receive special treatment... My experience is complete opposite. Rude, dismissive, did not have knowledge about bank products, and hung up on me because I belonged to a different branch. Didn't respect working hours and refused to answer phones at least 30 min before time.

UTFCU in Martin, TN has the best customer service. I love how they always have those crisp, new bills that I get when I use the ATM!
