Best car loan rates I could find anywhere. I now have two car loans with them and the process has been incredibly quick and smooth. Excellent communication with their loan officer Veronica Perez. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an auto loan in Austin! BTW, I am not a government employee but you can qualify to join by making a small donation to Austin libraries when opening your account.

I have had accounts and loans with GEFCU for over 50 years. They have always been friendly and responsive to my needs. The added branch locations have made it much more convenient to take care of business without having to drive all of the way out to the main location in north Austin! I'll be staying with them until I'm gone and it's time for my grown children, or grandkids, to carry on with my accounts.

I have been a customer for many years. I've never been treated any way but courteously and respectfully by the people at GEFCU in Kyle, south Austin and north Austin. The online changeover has had a few glitches but anyone I have spoken to has always been very helpful. I feel very secure in my online dealings with this credit union. On top of that, credit unions far outweigh banks in their rates for loans and their earnings for those of us who are not wealthy. Thank you GEFCU!!

My card has gotten lost and so I called and the lady I spoke to said they cannot make me a debit card. Because they are not making any cards.... That's what I was told when I called the kyle location. When I called they lady from the kyle location was being sassy simply because I said it was bad service to not be making cards. Obviously this company is either lazy or simply don't care about their customers. Or who know maybe I don't have enough funds in my account to be of importance to them, that's how she and GEFCU made me feel. I once had 20k and I got "sirs", "let me how I can help you's".. seems a bit unfair when all I wanted to do is order a new card.... get this the after I called the GEFCU location in kyle and asked to destroy my card she replied with, "OK bye" not even a "OK sir, your card has been destroyed, is there anything else I can do to further assist you" some politeness at least..... The Austin location closes at 6pm yet they don't pick up their phones.... I often wonder WTH am I doing having this account with these people who are so unprofessional. I just need to close my account and I would suggest to anyone thinking of getting an account with this company, dont. Last year I was out of town and my card had been canceled by GEFCU and I called and they told me that they couldn't do anything but send me a new one and I should be receiving that in approximately 7 business days. I was stranded and they didn't care to call me and inform me that my card would be canceled or destroyed.... They don't prepare themselves. They don't take initiative to better assist you and make things easier.... Overall I am not satisfied with GEFCU. My sister had an account and she closed it. We got it because my mom and step dad had been with them for years and one day "LIFE" happened to my parents and they needed a loan and we're denied, even with the continously retirement heck and disability check that he receives they didn't want to loan him. I over drafted once for like $11.00 and they were calling me and sending letters even after I told them, it's gonna get paid in like 3 days (when I receive my reoccurring benefit I receive from uncle Sam, same day of the month, every month, or so it has been) "Okay we'll be calling you back till its paid.... Ask other GEFCU
