Been here for several years, need to switch to a better bank. Pros: near my house Cons: customer service is poor, web app has not been updated since ~2004 (and you can't do anything in the web app anyhow), they randomly turn off my card without notifying me, then offer no clear explanation as to what happened. Can't do anything in web app without calling in to their CS team. They are not a serious operation.

I visited the credit union twice, both times about an hour before closing. On both occasions, I felt like it was an inconvenience to the staff that I was there to open an account so close to closing time. I was assisted first by Tina Howard and then by Tiffany Brown. While they did help me, their attitude made the experience feel rushed and unwelcoming, as if my business was a burden instead of being valued. When Tiffany Brown assisted me, she even rolled her eyes and made a face about it, which made the experience feel even more unprofessional. She eventually passed me off to Dee Thomas, who never introduced himself and had to re-verify my information because the previous people who helped had not verified anything correctly. As a result, the information in my account was wrong and had to be fixed. On top of that, the credit union does not have the most convenient hours, which makes it frustrating when the limited time I am able to come in is met with poor service. I understand it was near the end of the day, but as a customer, I should not feel like I am causing a problem for wanting to open an account during business hours. This left me with a disappointing impression of the service.

I’ve been a loyal customer with this bank for over 20 years, but my recent experience has completely changed that. I was told my GAP insurance would be canceled, yet it wasn’t handled in time — costing me $600. The issue was made worse by Stephanie Lillie, who provided inaccurate information and was extremely unhelpful throughout the process. Instead of being transparent or offering a real solution, she spoke down to me and made me feel like my concerns didn’t matter. On top of that, she somehow lost the digital title to my trade-in and expected me to fix it myself, which is unreasonable. When my mother later visited the branch and mentioned the situation, Stephanie’s reaction said it all — she clearly knew the mistake that was made but still refused to take responsibility or apologize. After two decades with this bank, my family and I have decided to take our business elsewhere. If you value honesty, accountability, and respectful customer service, I strongly recommend banking somewhere else.

I really like FTWCCU. They have always treated me well over the last 15 years. They offer great products, great service, and are a vital part of the local community. I highly recommend them.

Called to payoff my car but apparently the system is limited to 2k dollars or so. But I owe more than that. Sooo, I can’t payoff the car because the system limit is lower than my debit card unless I go in the office. I would never use a bank that is this far behind in the year 2025. Tells me there is a lack of modernization and therefore I have to ask what else is behind. What about security. This is a poor banking practice for sure.
